The Seahawks are expected to hire Ryan Grubb as their new OC under HC Mike Macdonald, according to multiple reports. This will be Grubb's first NFL coaching job. He's been in the college ranks since 2005, most recently serving as Washington's OC for the last two seasons. Both of those Huskies teams finished top 13 in the nation in both total yards and points per game. They were especially lethal through the air, ranking first and then second in passing yards per game. Grubb joins a Seahawks squad with plenty of passing-game firepower in WRs D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. QB Geno Smith will very likely be back under center in 2024. We'll see if Seattle reunites Grubb with QB Michael Penix, who was at the helm for Washington the last two years.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Steelers. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this morning that the team is concerned about Walker’s shoulder after he reinjured it last week. He comes with elevated risk in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (shoulder, illness) is expected to play vs. the Steelers today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "But the team also has some concerns about a shoulder injury that was aggravated last Sunday at Tennessee," Schefter adds. It sounds like there's some risk that Walker's touches are scaled back today, or that the shoulder issue knocks him out of this game. We're moving Walker down the Week 17 RB Rankings a bit.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (shoulder) only got in a limited practice on Friday this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. He was in the same boat last week, but HC Pete Carroll said then that Walker would play vs. Tennessee. This Friday, he labeled Walker a game-time decision. We'll hopefully get an update on his status on Sunday morning. Seattle's inactives won't come out until a little after 2:30 pm ET. Walker's absence would turn RB Zach Charbonnet into a solid fantasy starter.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker handled 16 of 19 team carries in Sunday's win over Tennessee. That’s strong volume, considering Walker's missed practices and questionable status (ankle) entering the weekend. Still, he managed just 3.4 YPC while matching Zach Charbonnet in targets (2). Walker’s now caught exactly 1 pass in five of his past seven matchups. Week 17 turns up a Steelers matchup that’s slightly favorable.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He was listed as questionable after only getting in a limited practice on Friday, but we never sensed much concern about his availability for this one. Walker is safe to get into fantasy lineups against a banged-up Tennessee defense.

The Seahawks expect RB Kenneth Walker III (shoulder) to play Sunday against the Titans. He missed two of three practices during the week before returning to a limited Friday workout. But HC Pete Carroll previously said he expected Walker to be ready. We'll check for confirmation ahead of Sunday's kickoff. Walker gets an upside matchup against a Tennessee defense missing star DT Jeffery Simmons.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (shoulder) only got in a limited practice on Friday this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. HC Pete Carroll said Friday that Walker is “good to go” for this one, but check back around 11:30 am ET on Sunday to make sure he’s active.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (shoulder) missed practice again on Thursday. It's possible that the team is taking it easy on him on a short week, but it's also possible that Walker's status for Sunday's game vs. the Titans is in doubt. We'll learn more when we get Seattle's final injury report on Friday afternoon.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. He seemed to come out of Monday night's win over the Eagles okay, so this is likely more of a rest day. We'll see if Walker gets back on the practice field tomorrow.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker III logged 19 carries for 86 yards and a TD in Week 15’s win vs. the Eagles. The second-year back also added 3 receptions for 26 yards as a receiver in the contest. Since returning in Week 14 after a three-game absence with an oblique injury, Walker III is firmly running ahead of rookie teammate Zach Charbonnet as Seattle’s lead back. In their last two games, he’s out-touched (carries + receptions) Charbonnet 34 to 14 and accounted for an 85.2% snap share of the Seahawks’ early downs in that span. Walker III should again see a hefty amount of work in Week 16 vs. the Titans.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) are active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. Both put in full practices on Friday, so we’re expecting them to be somewhat close to 100%. Walker figures to resume his role as lead back, but his projection takes a hit with QB Drew lock under center.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) are both expected to play vs. the 49ers this afternoon, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That's been our expectation after both guys were full participants in Friday's practice. Walker figures to return as Seattle's lead back, but he sits lower than usual in the Week 14 RB rankings in a tough matchup and with QB Drew Lock likely at the controls.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) are listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. They both put in full practices on Friday. "Both of those guys looked pretty good," HC Pete Carroll said afterward. "They looked pretty good. We've got to see what happens tomorrow, see how they feel and all that, but both guys worked today." We're tentatively expecting both Walker and Charbonnet to play on Sunday. In that case, Walker would likely return to his role as primary early-down back, with Charbonnet replacing him for the majority of passing downs.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) were both limited in Thursday's practice. That gives both guys a shot to play vs. the 49ers this weekend. We'll see what they do on Friday and how they're listed on the final injury report.

Seahawks RBs Ken Walker (oblique) and Zach Charbonnet (knee) were sidelined for Wednesday's practice. Walker has missed the last two games with this oblique injury. Charbonnet suffered what HC Pete Carroll called a bruised knee late in last Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys. Both guys are seemingly in danger of missing Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. Their absences would leave Seattle with RBs DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet suffered a knee injury late in Thursday night's loss to the Cowboys. HC Pete Carroll said afterward that Charbonnet bruised the knee when he banged it against the turf and that it shouldn't be an issue going forward. The rookie operated as Seattle's feature back before the injury, finishing with 19 carries for 60 yards and a score. He added one catch on two targets for 39 yards, showing good burst on a well-designed screen. Charbonnet and backfield mate Ken Walker (oblique) get 10 days to heal up for a Week 14 rematch with the 49ers. Charbonnet was limited to 58 scoreless yards in their Thanksgiving meeting.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) is inactive for tonight's game vs. the Cowboys. He didn't practice all week, and we still don't have a timetable for his return. Zach Charbonnet gets another game as Seattle's top back tonight after garnering 14 carries and four targets on an 88% snap rate on Thanksgiving.
