Washington QB Taylor Heinicke is active and will start against the Cowboys tonight. He was activated from the COVID list on Thursday. Heinicke is just a low-end QB2 vs. Dallas’ 4th-ranked QB defense.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke has been activated from the COVID list, putting him on track to start Sunday night's game vs. the Cowboys. It's good news for the Washington offense, but Heinicke is just a low-end QB2 against the league's 4th-ranked QB defense.

Washington QBs Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen have failed to test out of COVID reserve. So Garrett Gilbert will start tonight’s game against the Eagles, according to multiple reports. Gilbert has 1 NFL start and 44 total pass attempts behind him. It should be a good week to have the Philly D in your fantasy football lineup

The Washington at Philadelphia game originally scheduled for Sunday has been moved to Tuesday at 7 pm ET due to The Football Team's COVID outbreak, insider Albert Breer reports. This game won't be on the DFS main slate but will still count for Week 15 in season-long leagues. We'll see if any of Washington's players currently on the COVID list are activated by Tuesday. The extra 2 days can't hurt Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is recovering from what's been reported as a high-ankle sprain. Washington WR Terry McLaurin and RB J.D. McKissic will have a better chance to clear concussion protocol before kickoff.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke is going on the COVID list after testing positive. With backup Kyle Allen already on there, that will leave Washington starting Kyle Shurmur at QB Sunday against the Eagles, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, however, that Washington plans to start Garrett Gilbert, who is signing with the team today. Gilbert at least has some NFL experience: 1 start for last year's Cowboys. Neither would be a fantasy option, and the whole situation just might make Philadelphia the top team-defense play of the week.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke is scheduled for a Monday MRI on the knee he injured in the loss to Dallas. But the belief going into that test is that he'll be available for this weekend's game vs. the Eagles, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. We should get another update on Heinicke later today.

Washington QB Taylor Heinicke suffered a knee injury in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys and is officially questionable to return. QB Kyle Allen has replaced Heinicke. Stay tuned for an update.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is "highly unlikely" to play again this season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 38-year-old is still dealing with swelling and pain in the hip and groin area, per Rapoport. QB Taylor Heinicke will remain Washington's starter for now. We'll see if the team wants to get a look at QB Kyle Allen.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is still "weeks away" from returning and not a lock to return at all this season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Fitzpatrick's original timeline had him returning in late October, but it sounds like his recovery has gone slower than expected. Fitzpatrick is still on crutches, per Rapoport, and is expected to get another MRI on that hip this coming week. QB Taylor Heinicke will remain Washington's starter for the foreseeable future -- and potentially the rest of the season.

Washington WR Curtis Samuel (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs. He appears to be looking at another multi-week absence. WR Cam Sims (hamstring) has also been ruled out. WR Dyami Brown (knee) is listed as questionable after a limited week of practice. With WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also questionable, Adam Humphries, Deandre Carter and Dax Milne are Washington's only healthy WRs. It's obviously a concern for QB Taylor Heinicke.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with his hip injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. So Fitzpatrick can be dropped from fantasy rosters, outside of deep 2-QB and Superflex leagues. QB Taylor Heinicke will get the 1st crack at replacing Fitzpatrick after holding his own in last year's playoff loss to the Bucs. QBs Kyle Allen and Kyle Shurmur are also on the roster.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) will be placed on IR, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. We're still waiting to hear exactly how long Fitzpatrick will be sidelined, but the move to IR knocks him out for at least the next 3 games. QB Taylor Heinicke is set to step in as Washington's starter. He gets the Giants on Thursday night.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to be out at least "several weeks" with his hip subluxation, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Fitzpatrick is getting an MRI on Monday to determine how much damage was done when his hip joint came out of its socket. "This could be an extremely serious injury for the Washington Football Team, where Fitzpatrick does not play at all this season. It could be relatively minor, just based on how much damage was actually caused," Rapoport adds. It sounds like we'll have a better idea of how long Fitzpatrick will be sidelined by the end of today. Stay tuned.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport hears that Washington believes QB Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a hip subluxation in today's loss to the Chargers. He’ll undergo an MRI on Monday to get a better look at the damage. QB Taylor Heinicke was solid in relief of Fitzpatrick, completing 11 of 15 passes for 122 yards and a score. Heinicke added 17 yards on 3 carries.

Washington QB Ryan Fitzpatrick left in the 1st half of Sunday’s opener against the Chargers with a hip injury. He walked off the field with trainers and headed to the locker room. We’ll watch for updates. Taylor Heinicke relieved Fitz.

Update: He is questionable to return.

Update: Fitzpatrick has been ruled out.
