The Jaguars list RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bills. He didn’t practice all week and seems unlikely to play. We’ll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. Yeldon’s absence would put Chris Ivory in a feature-back role.

Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. We still don't have any details on his injury, but he's not looking particularly likely to play vs. the Bills this weekend. That'd put Chris Ivory in a feature-back role.

Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon suffered an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Lions. He's officially questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one.

The Jaguars have fired OC Greg Olson. The offense has been the biggest issue during Jacksonville's 2-5 start. The Jags sit 25th in yards per game and 24th in points per game. Olson will be replaced by former QBs coach Nathaniel Hackett. He spent 2013 and 2014 as the Bills' OC. Neither of those teams finished in the top half of the league in total yards or points. The change in coordinator is unlikely to spark the Jags' offense.

The Jaguars listed RB Chris Ivory (illness) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. He practiced all week, though, and is expected to play. We'd rather keep Ivory on fantasy benches for his 2016 debut, but he's certainly capable of passing T.J. Yeldon for the lead ball-carrying role in Jacksonville.

Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) put in a full practice on Thursday. He's set to make his 2016 debut against the Ravens this weekend. We'll see exactly how Jacksonville divvies the backfield work between Ivory and Yeldon, who failed to impress over the first 2 weeks. Ivory is a RB3 or flex option only in non-PPR leagues.

Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) returned to practice on Wednesday for the 1st time since being hospitalized the morning of the season opener. He was limited but appears to have a shot to make his 2016 debut against the Ravens. T.J. Yeldon has disappointed as Jacksonville's feature back, so Ivory will be returning to a nice opportunity.

Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. He's back with the team and has a shot to make his 2016 debut next week. T.J. Yeldon gets another game as Jacksonville's feature back, making him a borderline RB1 for fantasy squads.

Jaguars RB Chris Ivory's Week 2 status remains "in question," according to insider John Oehser. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Ivory is still hospitalized and "in pain" as of Monday afternoon. That doesn't sound like a guy that will be ready to play football in 6 days. Expect T.J. Yeldon to get another game as Jacksonville's feature back vs. the Chargers on Sunday. He racked up 25 touches in Week 1.

Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (calf) is INACTIVE for today’s game against the Packers. It’s a surprise after he got in 3 limited practices this week. T.J. Yeldon will now operate as something close to an every-down back in what should be a high-scoring game. He’s a strong RB2 play.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Jaguars RB Chris Ivory (calf) might not receive his "full complement of snaps" in Sunday's opener against the Packers. "T.J. Yeldon may start in his place," Rapoport adds. This was setting up as more of a Yeldon game anyways, with Jacksonville as 5.5-point underdogs. Ivory is better off on fantasy benches this week.

The Jaguars listed RB Chris Ivory (calf) as questionable for Sunday's opener against the Packers. He was limited in practice this week, but we've heard nothing to suggest he's in danger of missing the game. ESPN's Michael DiRocco confirms that "it looks like he will play," and HC Gus Bradley said the injury won't impact the team's RB rotation. Ivory is expected to split backfield work with T.J. Yeldon. The Jags are 5.5-point underdogs to the Packers, setting this up as more of a Yeldon game.

If Thursday night's preseason opener was any indication, the Jaguars plan to split backfield duties right down the middle between RBs T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory. Yeldon got the start against the Jets, but Ivory entered on the 3rd play. Both guys carried 3 times and caught 1 ball on the opening possession. On drive #2, they received 1 carry apiece before Ivory got 2 straight totes from New York's 1-yard line. He converted the 2nd for a score. We'll continue to keep a close eye on this backfield, but it certainly looks like a pure committee right now. Ivory's goal-line role at least gives him the early edge in non-PPR fantasy leagues. Yeldon is still the better pass-catching bet.

10:12pm EDT 8/1/16

Jags RB T.J. Yeldon returned to practice after missing 2 days with an ankle injury. He’ll continue battling Chris Ivory for snaps and touches.

Jags HC Gus Bradley said Friday that RB T.J. Yeldon is “day to day” with an ankle injury. It's just a minor ailment, but any missed reps are important as the 2nd-year RB battles Chris Ivory for playing time. Yeldon lost 4 games to injuries in 2015.

Jaguars insider Ryan O'Halloran projects a 55-45 carry split in favor of RB Chris Ivory this season. RB T.J. Yeldon averaged a mediocre 4.1 yards per carry last year and missed 4 games with groin and knee injuries. Jacksonville forked over a 5-year, $32 million contract to Ivory in free agency, which essentially guarantees him a significant role. The 28-year-old has averaged 4.6 yards per carry for his career and is a more accomplished between-the-tackles runner than Yeldon. Yeldon is the heavy favorite for passing-down work, though, which matters a lot in fantasy. We just updated our projections for the Jaguars backfield.

RB Chris Ivory's deal with the Jaguars is for 5 years and $32.5 million, according to multiple sources.  It makes him the 9th highest paid RB in the league based on average per-year salary.  It sure doesn't look like Jacksonville views him as purely a complementary piece.  Of course, the franchise used the 36th overall pick on RB T.J. Yeldon just a year ago.  This backfield has the look of a pure committee.  The smart money for now is on Yeldon handling most of the pass-catching work and Ivory getting the goal-line chances.  How the rest of the carries will be divvied is the big question.  If you're drafting now, it's tough to consider either guy more than a low-end RB2.

Adam Schefter reports that RB Chris Ivory is expected to sign with the Jaguars on Wednesday. This seems like a curious move from here. Jacksonville just drafted T.J. Yeldon near the top of Round 2 last May. The 2nd-year back stands similar in size to Ivory, who actually ran faster at the Scouting Combine. Yeldon is the better receiver, but the pair don't look like natural complements to each other. We'll see what we can glean from Jags coaches on specific roles, but this move hurts the upside of 2 potentially useful fantasy RBs. That Ivory has apparently chosen this situation before even reaching free agency suggests the Jets didn't want him back (at least enough to outbid other) and that Ivory must not have found much of a market in the "legal tampering" phase. He seemed to fall out of favor in New York's backfield late last season. Perhaps his presence can actually suppress Yeldon's ADP and turn the young guy into a potential draft value.

Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Texans. RB Denard Robinson is still the best bet in Jacksonville’s backfield but is expected to cede more work to RB Jonas Gray in the finale.

2:05pm EST 12/27/15

Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Saints. Denard Robinson will serve as the 3-down back in a plus matchup. He’s a legit RB1.
