Colts RB Jonathan Taylor ran healthy in Sunday's win over the Raiders, racking up 147 yards and a TD on 22 carries. That score came from 66 yards and featured Taylor outrunning DBs to close it out. He added 2 catches for 16 yards in a game that found Jordan Wilkins and Zack Moss minimally involved behind him.

Colts RB Zack Moss is a healthy scratch for today’s game vs. the Patriots. Indianapolis will roll with RBs Deon Jackson, Phillip Lindsay and Jordan Wilkins.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Patriots. He aggravated that ankle sprain last weekend and didn't practice at all this week. HC Frank Reich said Friday that there are no plans to put Taylor on IR right now but labeled him "week to week." Indianapolis' bye isn't until Week 14. Taylor's absence leaves the Colts with RBs Deon Jackson, Phillip Lindsay and the newly acquired Zack Moss. With Taylor out in Weeks 5 and 6, Jackson totaled 25 carries and 14 targets to Lindsay's 14 carries and 7 targets. Jackson should lead the way this weekend and is a decent RB2 play with 6 teams on bye.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor will not practice today because of the ankle sprain he aggravated in Sunday's loss to the Commanders. Taylor returned to finish that game, so we'd bet on him being ready by this Sunday. But he's certainly no lock. We'd bet on Deon Jackson being the next man up if Taylor can't play, though we'll see how just-acquired Zack Moss factors in.

The Bills are acquiring RB Nyheim Hines from the Colts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move continues Buffalo's pursuit of an upgrade at receiving back. The timing -- after a solid game from James Cook -- points to the Bills not believing the rookie is ready for a bigger role. Hines brings more proven NFL ability as a runner. He figures to challenge the playing time of RB Devin Singletary as well. It should be an upgrade in opportunity for Hines, who sits just 68th among RBs in opportunity share for his 2022 games with Indy. He garnered a stronger 11.8% target share in his 5 healthy games. Buffalo ranks 5th in the league in pass attempts but just 16th in RB receptions. We'll see whether that shifts at all with Hines around. Hines is signed through 2024 but has 2 cuttable years beyond this one. His arrival hurts the short-term outlook for Cook, though there's a chance Buffalo moves on from Hines after this year. The Bills are sending RB Zack Moss and a conditional 6th-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Colts. Moss has a chance to push past Deon Jackson on the Indy depth chart, but that's far from a sure thing.

Bills rookie RB James Cook played his 2nd most snaps of the season and garnered his 2nd largest touch count in Sunday night's win over the Packers. he ran for 35 yards on 5 carries and caught a 41-yard pass while playing 25% of Buffalo's offensive snaps. The only game that has seen more snaps or touches for Cook was the 41-7 Week 2 win over Tennessee that allowed him to clean up in garbage time. RB Devin Singletary operated as the clear backfield leader, posting a 14-67 rushing line and adding a 16-yard catch while playing nearly 3 times as many snaps as Cook. RB Zack Moss was active but did not see the field. There's room for Cook to pick up some touches over the 2nd half of the season, especially in games that find the Bills jumping to large leads. He also looks like the clear #2 now, should anything happen to Singletary. Cook should be rostered in most fantasy football leagues of 12+ teams. He's available in 74% of ESPN leagues as of this writing.

Bills RB Zack Moss is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Chiefs. That leaves just Devin Singletary and James Cook in Buffalo's backfield. We'll see if the Bills load up Singletary as an every-down back or work Cooks in some more. We'd bet on the former.

After dominating backfield time and work the previous 2 games, Bills RB Devin Singletary saw the gap shrink in Sunday's lopsided win over the Steelers. His 30 snaps were just 4 more than the combined total for Zack Moss (16) and James Cook (10). Singletary carried 6 times for 42 yards, compared with 4 carries for Cook and 1 for Moss. He added just 1 catch for 4 yards on 2 targets, running 20 routes vs. 15 combined for Moss and Cook. According to Pro Football Focus, Singletary has played 76.4% of offensive snaps when the Bills are tied for trailing. That has dipped to 51.4% when Buffalo leads. So it appears we should consider Singletary to be at greater risk of losing time when then Bills enter a game as heavy favorites.

Bills RB Devin Singletary set a season high in total yards for the 2nd straight game in Sunday's win over the Ravens. Singletary gained 49 yards on 11 carries and caught 4 of 5 targets for 47 yards. Those 96 total yards edged his 91 total yards from the Week 3 loss at Miami. Neither amounted to a big fantasy day (though he added a TD against the Dolphins), but the strong yardage signals what's available to him as Buffalo's clear lead back. Singletary figures to reside in RB3 territory of our rankings most weeks, but he'll be a solid option in that range with clear upside when he gets some TD luck. Zack Moss handled the other 3 RB rushes for the Bills at Baltimore, with James Cook drawing the group's only other target.

Bills RB Devin Singletary set a career-high with 9 catches in Week 3 vs. Miami. He scored early in the game on a 4th-down pass where the Dolphins defense left him completely unmarked. Those contributions were key for fantasy, as the contract-year rusher added only 13 yards on 9 carries. Sunday’s game was played in extreme heat, so it’s quite impressive that Singletary handled 67 snaps (73%). Zack Moss, meanwhile, played only 16 snaps (5 touches). Singletary should remain a viable FLEX for the road ahead.

Bills rookie RB James Cook led the team in rushing attempts in Monday night's lopsided win over the Titans, but nearly all of that came after starters had left the game. Cook handled Buffalo's final 9 carries, with Case Keenum at QB, finishing with 11 rushes for 53 yards. Devin Singletary carried 6 times for 19 yards and led the backfield in targets (4). He caught 2 passes for just 2 yards. Zack Moss added 17 yards on 3 carries. He and James Cook each saw 1 catchless target.

As expected, Devin Singletary led the Bills backfield in Thursday night's opener vs. the Rams. He played 59% of the offensive snaps and handled 8 carries and 2 targets. RB Zack Moss played a bigger role than we expected, registering a 38% snap rate, 6 carries and 6 targets. Rookie RB James Cook lost a fumble on his 1st touch of the night and ended up playing just 2 more snaps the rest of the way. This is shaping up as an ugly situation for fantasy football. Singletary is the best bet for now but is no more than a RB3 or flex. Moss is worth a bench spot in leagues of 12+ teams. Ditto for Cook, whose role still figures to grow throughout the season.

"The Bills’ running back corps has all the potential to devolve into a muddy three-person committee dependent on the situation and riding the hot hand," The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia writes. We know RBs Devin Singletary and James Cook will have a role in this backfield, but Buscaglia believes RB Zack Moss could be an "early-down threat to Singletary" and the goal-line back. That, of course, would put a major dent in Singletary's fantasy value. Buscaglia also says that Cooks' role "could be smaller than some expect."

The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia notes that Bills RB Zack Moss "has worked in with the Josh Allen-led offense every day, which shows he is still very much a part of the running back discussion for 2022." Buscaglia specifically mentions short-yardage situations as an area where Moss could make an impact. We're still not banking on him being a fantasy factor this season without an injury ahead of him on the depth chart. But Moss could be a drain on James Cook and, especially, Devin Singletary if he vultures goal-line carries.

Bills RB Matt Breida is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Falcons. Buffalo will again go with RBs Devin Singletary and Zack Moss. Singletary has racked up 34 carries and 7 targets over the last 2 weeks.

Bills RB Matt Breida is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Patriots. RB Zack Moss is active after being healthy scratched the past 2 weeks. That might hint at more of a power-run element to Buffalo's run game plan today. But we're still expecting Devin Singletary to operate as the Bills' lead back.

Bills RB Zack Moss is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Bucs. It's not a surprise with the power running game unlikely to be a big part of Buffalo's game plan today. Devin Singletary and Matt Breida will handle backfield duties for the Bills, but neither is a good fantasy bet.
