Arizona Cardinals Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cardinals WR Greg Dortch endured a quiet Sunday, catching one pass for 7 yards among 2 targets in the win over the 49ers. QB Kyler Murray spread 30 targets among eight Cardinals but sent 22 of them to the trio of TE Trey McBride (9), WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (7), and WR Michael Wilson (6).

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray posted a top 5 fantasy line among Week 5 QBs, with the Sunday night and Monday night games yet to go. He ran for 83 yards on 7 carries, including a 50-yard TD scamper. Murray added 195 yards and a TD passing, with 1 INT and a sack taken.

Despite a late "questionable" tag ahead of Sunday's win over the 49ers, Cardinals TE Trey McBride played a full snap allotment and led the team in targets. McBride played more snaps than any non-QB Arizona skill-position player. He also drew two more targets than any teammate (9), snagged a team-high 6 receptions, and finished with 53 yards.

Cardinals K Matt Prater (left knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the 49ers. K Chad Ryland, elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, will handle kicking duties for Arizona.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He cleared concussion protocol by Friday but was added to the injury report on Saturday with this rib. We still don't have any details on the injury, but McBride is safe to get into fantasy lineups if you were waiting on him.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (ribs) is expected to play vs. the 49ers today, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. McBride cleared concussion protocol by Friday but was added to the injury report on Saturday as questionable. We still don't have any details on the rib injury. But, barring any further reports of a limited snap count today, he should stay in fantasy lineups.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (ribs) has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. This rib issue was not on Friday's final injury report, so it's unclear how or when the injury occurred. We'll look for an update on McBride's status on Sunday morning. Cardinals-49ers doesn't kick off until 4:05 pm ET.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (concussion) practiced all week and is not listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers. He’ll play his usual role in that one and will get a matchup upgrade if LB Fred Warner (questionable, ankle) is not able to play.

Cardinals K Matt Prater (left knee) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. Between the injury and Arizona’s 21.25-point implied total, Prater should not be in Week 5 fantasy lineups.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (concussion) upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. Barring a setback, he'll return for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. San Francisco sits eighth in adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs but could be without LB Fred Warner on Sunday.

Cardinals K Matt Prater (left knee) did not practice on Wednesday. We'll see if he's able to play vs. the 49ers this weekend, but fantasy gamers would be wise to look elsewhere for a Week 5 kicker.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (concussion) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. That means he's made some progress through the protocol but still has multiple stages to pass. We're tentatively expecting McBride to make it back for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers, but we'll update his status again tomorrow.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray underwhelmed with 142 passing yards and 1 TD in Week 4. He added only 3 rushing yards in a blowout loss to Washington. Prior to Sunday, Murray hit 20 rushing yards in eight straight going back to last season.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Commanders. He should have a good chance to clear protocol in time for Week 5, but we’ll track his progress next week. McBride’s absence leaves Arizona with TEs Elijah Higgins and Tip Reiman. Higgins, a converted college WR, is the better bet for fantasy points. Hopefully you don’t need him in season-long lineups, but Higgins is an interesting flier in DFS tournaments.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday. He's looking unlikely to be cleared in time for this weekend's game vs. the Commanders. McBride's absence would leave Elijah Higgins as Arizona's likely lead pass-catching TE -- and push more targets to WRs Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson, and Greg Dortch.

Cardinals HC Jonthan Gannon told reporters Monday afternoon that TE Trey McBride is in the concussion protocol. McBride went in for evaluation during Sunday's game against the Lions, but there was no report of the injury being confirmed. If McBride misses the Week 4 home date with Washington, then Elijah Higgins and rookie Tip Reiman would be next up at the position. WRs Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch would potentially benefit from target-share boosts as well.

Cardinals RB James Conner got just 9 carries and 1 target in Sunday's loss to the Lions. He turned those limited opportunities into a mere 17 rushing yards and an 8-yard catch.

Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. caught five passes for 64 yards in Sunday's loss to the Lions and scored for the second straight game. His 11 targets led the team for the second straight week, and Harrison tied for the team yardage lead despite a fairly inefficient performance: 5 receptions on 11 targets, 45.5% catch rate, 5.8 yards per target.

Cardinals TE Trey McBride was evaluated for a concussion, HC Jonathan Gannon said after the loss to the Lions. No word yet on whether McBride landed in concussion protocol. We should get an update on his status on Monday. McBride has no documented concussions in his injury history.

Cardinals WR Greg Dortch (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Lions. He was added to the injury report and limited in practice on Friday, ultimately drawing a questionable tag. That adds obvious risk to his Week 3 profile, but there’s still upside here in a likely shootout against a Lions team that’s been lit up by slot receivers through two weeks.
