He, of course, joins teammate WR Keenan Allen, potentially leaving QB Justin Herbert down his top 2 wideouts for Sunday's game against the Giants. We'll keep an eye on the situations for both players. Jalen Guyton and Joshua Palmer look like the next 2 WRs up. RB Austin Ekeler, TE Jared Cook and even TE Donald Parham could all be in for more targets, though, if Williams and Allen both miss the game. On defense, the Chargers also placed CB Chris Harris Jr. on the COVID list. That might be more interesting for fantasy purposes if the Giants weren't down to their 3rd QB.

Update: HC Brandon Staley says Williams and Harris are on the list merely as close contacts. That means each player can make it back for Sunday's game as long as he continues to test negative.

Jets WR Corey Davis will undergo season-ending core-muscle surgery on Tuesday, HC Robert Saleh said. This sounds like a sports hernia, but we'll look for further updates. Davis should be fine for the 2022 offseason. He ends up playing just 9 games in his 1st year with the Jets, averaging 3.8 catches and 54.7 yards per game. Davis is signed through 2 more seasons and should start alongside WR Elijah Moore next year. Moore should be New York's clear target leader the rest of this season.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Texans QB Tyrod Taylor "is believed to have suffered possible torn ligaments" in his left wrist. That's awkwardly worded, and Rapoport adds that Houston has yet to rule Taylor out for even Week 14. But the injury is at least a mark against a veteran who played so poorly in Sunday's shutout loss to the Colts that he got yanked for rookie Davis Mills. HC David Culley said Monday morning that no decision has been made on the Week 14 QB starter yet, but it's tough to see what Houston would gain by going back to Taylor. This decision, of course, carries minimal fantasy importance.

Update: Rapoport reports the team now considers Taylor "week-to-week" and expects to start Mills in Week 14.

Texans HC David Culley said after Sunday's loss to the Colts that QB Tyrod Taylor hyperextended his left wrist. Taylor was yanked in the 3rd quarter and never announced with an injury. We'll see if he's available for Week 14 -- and whether Houston goes back to Taylor or with rookie QB Davis Mills. Either way, it's a situation to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Jets WR Corey Davis aggravated his groin injury in the 2nd half of Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. He's officially questionable to return, but we don't expect to see him back out there.

Texans QB Tyrod Taylor was benched in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Colts. He went 5 of 13 for 45 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT before getting yanked. QB Davis Mills will finish this one out for the Texans. We'll see who gets the nod in Week 14, but it's obviously a situation to avoid in fantasy football.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has decided against surgery on his fractured toe "at this time," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. Rodgers had been considering a procedure over the bye week but will instead opt for just rest and rehab. It sounds like offseason surgery is still a possibility. Although he's admitted that the toe is an issue, it hasn't impacted his play over the last 2 weeks. Rodgers has racked up 692 passing yards with 6 TDs.

Packers WR Allen Lazard (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Rams. He’s not a real fantasy option, but his return puts a slight dent in WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s target projection.

Jets LB C.J. Mosley (shoulder) is active for today's game against the Texans. Use him as planned in IDP lineups. EDGE John Franklin-Myers (hip) is also active.
