2025 Accuracy Award Winner
Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. WR Kyle Williams soaked up most of his snaps in the second half of last week’s contest but finished catch-less on one target. The rookie could be a flier in daily contests but shouldn’t be in season-long fantasy lineups.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He remained sidelined in practice all week and has no timetable for return. TreVeyon Henderson should again operate as New England’s lead back this weekend, with Terrell Jennings as the No. 2. Tampa Bay has been stout against the run this year but has allowed a league-high 466 receiving yards to RBs.
Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) won't practice on Wednesday, according to HC Mike Vrabel. Vrabel called Boutte "day to day" earlier this week, so the hamstring injury doesn't sound serious. But we're not expecting Boutte to play vs. the Buccaneers on Sunday. Rookie WR Kyle Williams soaked up most of his snaps in the second half of last week's game but finished catch-less.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) won't practice on Wednesday, HC Mike Vrabel said. We still haven't heard any details on Stevenson's injury, but we're assuming it's turf toe, which can be very debilitating. Fantasy managers should not be counting on him playing vs. the Buccaneers this weekend, which would again leave the backfield to TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings.
Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte is "day to day" with the hamstring injury he suffered in the Week 9 win over the Falcons, HC Mike Vrabel said Monday. It sounds like Boutte dodged a serious injury, but Vrabel also said that he won't practice early this week. Fantasy managers should not be counting on Boutte playing vs. the Buccaneers this weekend, but we'll keep tabs on his progress. Rookie WR Kyle Williams is the favorite to soak up most of Boutte's snaps if he sits.
Patriots WR Kayshon Boutte is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Falcons with a hamstring injury. Players typically don't return from hamstrings, but we'll keep you updated on Boutte's status.
Update: Boutte has been ruled out.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons. He didn’t practice all week and could miss more time beyond Week 9 depending on the severity of this toe injury. Stevenson’s absence leaves TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings as the only two RBs on the active roster. RBs D’Ernest Johnson, Rushawn Baker, and Jonathan Ward are on the practice squad. The Patriots have been hesitant to give Henderson a big role so far, but we’d be surprised if he didn’t tally 12+ touches in this one, with a ceiling approaching 20. Consider the rookie a moderate-risk, high-reward RB2 play.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson did not practice on Wednesday and is on the injury report with a toe. We don't have any other details. Stevenson played deep into the fourth quarter of last week's 32-12 win over the Browns. But it's worth noting that the Patriots signed RBs Rushawn Baker and Jonathan Ward to their practice squad on Tuesday. We'll see if Stevenson gets back on the field tomorrow. His absence vs. Atlanta this weekend would likely force RB TreVeyon Henderson into a big role.
Extraordinarily patient fantasy managers were finally rewarded in Week 8 when New England Patriots' rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson rushed for a career-high 75 yards on 10 carries. Henderson led the Patriots in rushing yards, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Rhamondre Stevenson drew the start and out-touched Henderson 15-10, but Henderson was more efficient. The mini breakout has the fantasy community excited about Henderson's potential in the second half of the season, but caution is in order.
Patriots QB Drake Maye completed 21/23 for 222 yards and two TDs, setting the franchise record for completion percentage in a game at 91.3%. Even Tom Brady never hit that mark in the regular season. Maye also helped his fantasy performance, going 8-62-0 on the ground.
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson dominated the RB touches for the Patriots with 20 total touches compared to 7 for the rest of the RBs on the roster. He ended with a rushing total of 18-88-1. He also caught two passes for no yards.
Patriots Edge Harold Landry is active for today's game against the Titans. He carries enough upside to make the re-injury risk worth overlooking as you set your IDP lineup. S Jaylinn Hawkins (hamstring) is inactive.
Patriots WR Stefon Diggs (chest) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so we don’t expect the chest issue to be a factor in this one.
Patriots WR Stefon Diggs (chest) is expected to play vs. the Titans today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Diggs is listed as questionable but got in a full practice on Friday, so there never seemed to be much concern about his availability for this one. Use Diggs as you normally would in Week 7 fantasy lineups.
Patriots WR Stefon Diggs (chest) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Titans. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, so we’re fully expecting him to play. But Diggs’ status is worth double checking on when we get New England’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
There was hope that last week's season-ending knee injury to Antonio Gibson would free up more playing time and touches for TreVeyon Henderson. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Henderson played only 19 snaps, his second-lowest total of the season, in the Patriots' 25-19 win in New Orleans. QB Drake Maye led the way for New England, throwing for 261 yards and accounting for 3 TDs in the victory.
Tests today revealed that Patriots RB Antonio Gibson tore his ACL last night against the Buffalo Bills. Gibson was injured on a kick return in the second quarter and was ruled out quickly. Gibson’s absence will open up more opportunities in the backfield for rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson, who operated as the lead back Sunday night after the Gibson injury.
Patriots WR Stefon Diggs followed up last week’s 6-101-0 game with a 10-146-0 stat line. He excelled in the revenge game against the Buffalo Bills. Diggs did only play 50% of the Patriots snaps this week after 63% last week. But, he was much more involved in the gameplan than in the first three weeks of the season.
Patriots RB Antonio Gibson injured his right knee on a kick return in the second quarter of Sunday night's game against the Bills. He was down for a while in obvious pain and was ruled out a short time later. This has the look of a serious injury. Gibson has been part of New England's 3-RB rotation this season, averaging 4.8 carries and 0.5 targets over the first four games. His absence should turn this into a 2-man backfield with Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.
Diggs only averaged 48.6% of snaps over the first three weeks but played 72.1% in Week 4. That led to a 6-101-0 stat line on seven targets. He was second on the team in snaps (31) behind only Kayshon Boutte (34). Diggs is now 11 months removed from his ACL Tear last season and showed signs of getting back to 100% in this game.
