Rest Of Way Outlook

Week 12
Watkins caught two balls for 23 yards in the loss to the Giants. He was 2nd on the team in targets with 5, with only WR Jalen Reagor seeing more. The highlight for Watkins’ afternoon was an incredibly athletic catch up the sidelines for 19 yards.

The Eagles’ pass offense was off all game, with no one collecting more than 32 yards. Watkins has some serious wiggle and showed some of that on his electric play. However, he doesn’t normally get enough looks to be relevant for fantasy purposes.
Week 3
We didn’t see much of any Eagles offensive players in a game when they had the ball for barely 9 minutes in the 1st half and were effectively finished when Dallas took a 27-7 lead early in the 3rd quarter. He caught both targets for 46 yards, including a 41-yard pass he caught despite both a holding and pass interference penalty against a Cowboys defender.
He is Quez as in question. The biggest is that with just 7 catches this season, how does he have plays of 91 and 41 yards without scoring? Can he get open, deep or short, to help the Eagles improve in another possible shootout at home Sunday against the Chiefs?
Week 1
The Eagles aren’t kidding about their affinity for Watkins. He finished the opener with just 3 catches, but they came on the 1st 3 plays of the game.

Watkins took a WR screen left for 10 yards on Philly’s 1st offensive snap (plus 15 for a late hit out of bounds). Then came a quick pass right for 11 more and another quick pass to the right for 2 more on snap #3.

That would be Watkins’ final offensive touch of the game, but he’s clearly part of the offense. That said, we’ll need to see a little more before considering Watkins a real fantasy factor.

Basic Stats Preseason Player Analysis

Recent Shark Bites View All Shark Bites »

Eagles WR Quez Watkins has landed on the COVID list. He's averaged just 3.5 targets per game this season, so his absence would mean just a little extra volume to go around in Sunday's game vs. Washington.

Eagles insider Eliot Shorr-Parks calls Quez Watkins the team's best WR since DeVonta Smith went down with his knee injury a little over a week ago. Philly would surely like former 1st-rounder Jalen Reagor to join Smith in the starting lineup -- but Reagor has reportedly been inconsistent in camp. We'll see if Watkins can carry his momentum into preseason action. For now, he's still more of a "watch list guy" than a target in fantasy drafts.
