Brock Bowers Out For Final Two Games

The Raiders are placing TE Brock Bowers on IR, ending his 2025 season, according to multiple sources. Bowers has battled a knee injury for most of the year and is shutting it down (potentially in part because this weekend's game vs. the Giants could determine who gets the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft!). His absence leaves Michael Mayer as Vegas' lead TE for the final two games of the season. He posted 5-50-1 and 1-10-0 receiving lines in two games without Bowers earlier this season. Consider Mayer more of a desperation spot starter than reliable Week 17 play vs. the Giants' seventh-ranked TE defense.

Michael Mayer Out With Ankle Injury

Raiders TE Michael Mayer suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Browns and will not return. He's been playing a big role in a Vegas offense heavy on 2-TE sets. We'll see about the severity of this injury.

Brock Bowers Out For Week 6

The Las Vegas Raiders have officially ruled TE Brock Bower OUT for the team's Week 6 game versus the Tennessee Titans. This will be the second consecutive game that Bowers has been sidelined as he recovers from a knee injury that originally occurred in Week 1.

Brock Bowers Out, Michael Mayer A Full Participant Wednesday

Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. His injury requires rest, and it looks like the Raiders might be ready to give it to him. Bowers owners should not plan on having him in Week 6 fantasy lineups. TE Michael Mayer (concussion) was a full participant on Wednesday. Barring a setback, he should be cleared for this weekend's game vs. the Titans and make for a fine Week 6 spot starter.

Brock Bowers Now "Week To Week"

Raiders HC Pete Carroll labeled TE Brock Bowers (knee) "week to week" on Monday. Bowers seemed to be getting healthier before taking a turn for the worse at some point last week. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that Bowers is dealing with a PCL injury and a bone bruise. Both require rest to fully heal. We'll keep you updated on the situation, but Bowers owners should plan on being without him again in Week 6 fantasy lineups. Raiders TEs Albert Okwuegbunam and Ian Thomas combined for 9 targets on a 25% share in the Week 5 loss to the Colts. Neither guy is worth adding to fantasy rosters, but TE Michael Mayer could be a nice spot starter this weekend if he clears concussion protocol.

Brock Bowers Downgraded To Out Thursday

After being limited on Thursday, Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) did not practice on Thursday. Considering he was a full-go in practice all last week, it sure looks like he suffered a setback with that knee issue. We'll look for further updates on Bowers' status and see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow. TE Michael Mayer (concussion) remained limited in Thursday's practice, leaving him uncertain for Sunday's game vs. the Colts.

        Brock Bowers Still Sidelined Friday

Raiders TE Brock Bowers (knee) missed his second straight practice on Friday. We'll see if he's able to get on the field tomorrow and then how he's listed on the final injury report for Monday night's game vs. the Chargers. But Bowers owners need to have a backup plan in place. TE Michael Mayer is a viable option. He'll likely climb into the top-15 in the Week 2 TE rankings if Bowers doesn't play.

Michael Mayer Involved Even Before Brock Bowers Left

Raiders TE Brock Bowers left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. It sounds like he'll be fine, but that issue presents potential opportunity for Michael Mayer, the No. 2 TE. Mayer caught all four of his targets in Sunday's win over the Patriots, tallying 38 yards and trailing Bowers by just one reception.

        Davante Adams Still Out Wednesday

Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) remained sidelined on Wednesday. With trade talks for the veteran seemingly underway, don't expect him or the team to push him to play through this hamstring injury. Fantasy owners should not be counting on Adams in Week 5 lineups as of now. TE Michael Mayer (personal) also did not practice on Wednesday.

Michael Mayer Won't Play Week 4

Raiders TE Michael Mayer is out for this weekend's game vs. the Browns. He missed Thursday and Friday's practices and is listed on the injury report with "personal." We don't have any other details on his situation. Mayer ran a route on 43% of pass plays and drew seven targets over the first three weeks of the season. His absence is another boost to TE Brock Bowers, on top of WR Davante Adams being out.

Brock Bowers Out With Sore Foot

Raiders TE Brock Bowers is currently sidelined with a sore foot, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur. The rookie missed Saturday's preseason game and remained sidelined for Tuesday's practice. There's been no update from the team on the extent of Bowers' injury or his timeline for return.
