The Patriots have acquired WR Brandin Cooks from the Saints, sending a 1st- and a 3rd-round pick and getting back a 4th-rounder. Cooks caught 162 passes over the past 2 seasons, topping 1,100 yards in each campaign and scoring 17 TDs over that span. He finished among the top 13 WRs across fantasy formats in each of those seasons. The Pats control his rights for the next 2 years, including a team option for 2018. Cooks lands in 1 of the few offenses that approximates the efficiency of New Orleans and figures to quickly challenge Julian Edelman for the team target lead. His fantasy outlook doesn't change drastically from what it's been with the Saints. Other WRs in New England will have more trouble finding regular opportunities. Back in New Orleans, Michael Thomas should grab a larger share of targets, while Willie Snead stands to gain if the team doesn't add anything more than Ted Ginn to the corps this offseason.

The Texans have traded the 57th pick in the NFL Draft to the Rams for WR Brandin Cooks and a 4th-round pick in 2022. Cooks joins the trio of Will Fuller, Kenny Stills and Randall Cobb atop Houston's WR depth chart and should be the best bet to lead the group in targets. His departure from the Rams leaves room for WR Josh Reynolds to capture more playing time -- barring a significant WR addition in the upcoming draft. The Rams also cut Cooks' playing time in the 2nd half of last season, preferring to get more TEs on the field.

Rams WR Brandin Cooks has cleared the concussion protocol, according to ESPN's Lindsey Thiry. Barring a setback, Cooks will play against the Ravens on Monday night. Consider him a WR3 in that tough matchup.

Rams WR Brandin Cooks (concussion) is expected to return for Monday night's game against the Ravens, HC Sean McVay said. Cooks has been out since sustaining the 4th documented concussion of his career and his 2nd this year back in Week 8. He averaged 6.3 targets, 3.9 catches and 57 yards across the first 7 games of the season. We'll track his status throughout the week.

Rams WR Brandin Cooks (concussion) is out for Sunday night's game against the Bears. He returned to a limited practice last Friday, but this early rule-out suggests he's not close to gaining full clearance. With Cooks sidelined last week, WR Josh Reynolds played 95% of the Rams' offensive snaps and saw 5 targets.

Rams WR Brandin Cooks (concussion) returned to a limited practice on Friday. “Part of the advice is just keep a normal rhythm and routine for him, staying active, avoiding some of those collision-type things," HC Sean McVay said. "This has been part of the advice that wanted to follow, and it’s part of the plan to hopefully getting him back on the field.” Cooks is out for Sunday's game against the Steelers but seemingly has a shot to be cleared for Week 11.
