Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury confirmed Monday what most of us expected out of his backfield. "We expect both guys to share the load for the most part," the coach told ESPN's Josh Weinfuss, referring, of course, to RBs Chase Edmonds and James Conner. "We'll play to their strengths," Kingsbury added. "James is obviously a bigger back. Chase, when he had [an] opportunity, did some great things, and we want to make sure we're calling plays that both those guys are comfortable with when they're in and kind of tailor to them." Kingsbury added that "they can both do it all," but it's pretty clear that Conner will hold the edge near the goal line and Edmonds in the passing game -- much like with Edmonds and Kenyan Drake last year. Both remain fine values in current drafting: Edmonds as RB27 in FFPC best-ball formats, Conner at RB38.
Broncos RB Chase Edmonds (ankle) has been designated to return from IR. He's been out since Week 11 -- his 2nd game with the Broncos. Edmonds will not be a fantasy option the rest of this season, but his return could ding RB Latavius Murray's volume a tad. We'll see if Edmonds is able to play vs. the Rams on Sunday.
Broncos RB Chase Edmonds (ankle) was placed on IR. He'll miss at least the next 4 weeks with his high-ankle sprain and can be dropped from redraft rosters.
Broncos RB Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Raiders and is expected to miss "multiple weeks," according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Edmonds can be dropped from all redraft rosters. The news makes RB Melvin Gordon's release even more surprising. Denver is down to RBs Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack for now. RB Devine Ozigbo is on the practice squad; RB Mike Boone is eligible to come off IR for Week 13.
Broncos RB Chase Edmonds left Week 11 with an ankle injury. He’s officially questionable to return.
Update: Edmonds has been ruled out.
Dolphins RB Chase Edmonds delivered 2 goal line scores in Miami’s upset win over Buffalo. Week 3 didn’t exactly turn up huge yardage numbers, though. Edmonds posted 21 yards on 6 carries; Raheem Mostert tallied 8 carries for 11 yards. And this was against a short-handed Bills defense. Mostert also out-snapped Edmonds, although the numbers were close (24-19). This backfield figures to remain fluid for a Week 4 Thursday night game at Cincinnati.
