Seahawks DE Darrell Taylor left the field on a stretcher in the 4th quarter of Sunday night's game at Pittsburgh. He was immobilized after an injury to the hear or neck. NBC reported that he took an ambulance to the hospital but was moving his extremities on the way. We'll see about the diagnosis and return timeline for a guy who has been Seattle's top pass rusher this season.
Seahawks DE Darrell Taylor is inactive for tonight's game against the Saints. He was a game-time decision with the neck injury that had him leaving last Sunday night's game in Pittsburgh on a stretcher. Taylor seems like he should make it back for Seattle's Week 8 contest.
Seahawks DE Darrell Taylor is officially questionable for Monday night’s game against the Saints with the neck injury that found him leaving Week 6 on a stretcher. Here’s what HC Pete Carroll had to say Saturday about Taylor’s outlook: “Let's just wait until we get all the way gametime and see if everything works out OK. I think he's doing really well, he's anxious to play and excited about that. I'll be surprised if he doesn't, but we'll just make sure.” Having the last kickoff of the week makes it tough to wait on a game-time decision. Let’s hope we get some indication Sunday on how Taylor’s neck responded to Saturday’s largest workload of the week.
Seahawks DE Darrell Taylor missed practice Friday with his neck issue. HC Pete Carroll said he expects Taylor to play Monday night against the Saints, though, according to Brent Stecker of ESPN Seattle. We'll check Taylor's status after Saturday's practice.
The Seahawks picked Tennessee DE Darrell Taylor in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. Taylor offered nice production over his final 2 college seasons, including 21 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks. He particularly ramped up his performance in 2019. Pro Football Focus credited Taylor with 53 total pressures across his 1st 3 seasons at Tennessee; 44 in 2019 along. His 87.0 pass-rushing grade ranked 18th nationally among EDGE players with at least 100 pass-rushing snaps. Taylor joins a Seattle D-line that needs him -- especially with Jadeveon Clowney still lingering on the open market.
