Bears LB Alec Ogletree (ankle) is inactive for tonight's game against the Steelers. Danny Trevathan should start in his place, in case you're left needing a replacement. S Eddie Jackson (hamstring) is also inactive, as expected. He entered the night doubtful.
The Giants have cut LB Alec Ogletree. The unsurprising move clears a bunch of cap space, as Ogletree was due to count more than $10 million against the cap this year and next. It's unsurprising because Ogletree isn't a special player, consistently delivering better fantasy numbers than he does real-life performance. The 28-year-old figures to catch on with another team, though, and we wouldn't be surprised to see him back in a starting lineup by September. The Giants, meanwhile, look thin at ILB and figure to address the position this offseason. The top returning member of the group looks like 2019 fifth-rounder Ryan Connelly, who had worked his way into the starting lineup before tearing an ACL in Week 4. As long as he's ready in time, Connelly should be a 2020 IDP factor.
Giants LB Alec Ogletree put in a full practice Tuesday, his 1st since suffering a hamstring injury in the 1st half of the Week 3 win at Tampa Bay. We'll see about Ogletree's status when the game reports come out Wednesday, but the veteran seems to be on track for Thursday night's clash with the Patriots.
Giants LB Alec Ogletree left in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a left hamstring injury. He's questionable to return.
The Giants have ruled ILB Alec Ogletree out for the 2nd straight week with his concussion. That should mean more playing time again for LB B.J. Goodson. He cracked 80% playing time last week for just the 2nd time all season but collected a mere 6 tackles (4 solo). Goodson certainly presents upside beyond that with Ogletree out but isn't a lock for big IDP production.
The Giants have ruled out MLB Alec Ogletree for Sunday's game in Indianapolis because of a concussion. Ogletree's absence should mean more playing time for LB B.J. Goodson. The Giants' other ILB starter played 87% of the snaps the last time Ogletree missed a game and didn't reach 57% in any other contest until last week (when he hit 65%).
