McLaughlin to COVID list

Browns K Chase McLaughlin has been placed on the COVID list and will miss Saturday's game vs. the Packers. He'll be replaced by K Chris Naggar, who has yet to attempt a regular-season kick. Look elsewhere for Week 16 fantasy lineups.

The Browns have released kickers Chris Blewitt and Chase McLaughlin. McLaughlin attempted all but 1 of Cleveland’s FGs last year, drilling just 71.4%. The moves pave the way for rookie 4th-rounder Cade York to handle kicking duties in 2022.

The Colts have released K Chase McLaughlin. That's a bit surprising. He filled in for an injured Adam Vinatieri last year, making 5 of 6 FGs and all 11 extra-point attempts over the final 4 games. The release appears to leave rookie Rodrigo Blankenship as the winner of the kicker competition. All the reports we'd seen out of Colts camp had Blankenship not performing particularly well. This doesn't look like a kicker situation to target in your fantasy football drafts. But if you take a Colts kicker, make sure it's not McLaughlin.

It's noteworthy considering K Adam Vinatieri has struggled all year and was limited in Wednesday's practice with a knee issue.
