Eagles HC Nick Sirianni announced Tuesday that he'll be replacing OC Kevin Patullo. The deposed coordinator filled that role for the first time in his career (at any level) this season. He had worked under Sirianni since the two joined Frank Reich's staff with the Colts in 2018. That includes spending the past five years with Sirianni in Philadelphia, four as pass-game coordinator before taking over for Kellen Moore in 2025.
What They're Saying
Sirianni's statement: "I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career. Ultimately, when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lies on my shoulders."
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo: "The phrasing is important here and in the Eagles' statement. Kevin Patullo is not fired. There's a chance he could remain on Nick Sirianni's coaching staff, sources say."
Fantasy Football Impact
That's fine. No fantasy manager should actually wish any ill will on Patullo. But it remained painfully clear all season that Philly needed someone other than him to coordinate the offense.

QB Jalen Hurts posted his worst scoring average since becoming starter (also in 2021).
RB Saquon Barkley not only fell off 7.4 PPR points per game vs. 2024, but posted the third-lowest scoring average of his career. The only two lower among his eight seasons were:
- 2020 -- when Barkley tore an ACL in Week 2
- 2021 -- coming off that injury
WR A.J. Brown posted his lowest scoring average among four Eagles seasons.
WR DeVonta Smith posted his lowest average since his 2021 rookie campaign.
So moving on from Patullo is a positive. But we'll have to see how Sirianni replaces his play caller before determining how much of a rebound we can expect. We'll also see whether Brown returns. His contract looks like it'll tough to trade, but that's not likely to stop a move if the sides are done with each other.
If you're about to jump into early best ball drafts, stay wary of the early-round Eagles.
