The Ravens signed WR Andy Isabella to the practice squad. Baltimore has 1 of the weakest depth charts in the league, so it's a fine landing spot for Isabella. But we have no faith in his ability to capitalize on the opportunity.
The Cardinals released WR Andy Isabella. Despite plenty of opportunity early this season, the 2019 2nd-rounder caught just 2 of 5 targets over the season's first 4 weeks. We'll see if he lands a job elsewhere, but Isabella looks like a big-time bust.
As expected, Cardinals WR A.J. Green (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. Hopefully you weren’t counting on him. Green’s snaps figure to be picked up by some combination of WRs Andy Isabella and Andre Baccellia.
Cardinals WR A.J. Green has a bone bruise in his knee and "could miss at least this week," HC Kliff Kingsbury said Monday. Green has been wildly ineffective so far but has played 64% of Arizona's offensive snaps. Those will need to be picked up by either Andy Isabella or Andre Baccellia.
Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. He's yet to practice since injuring his hamstring 8 days ago. WR Andy Isabella (back) is also out for Week 2. Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch and A.J. Green will be Arizona's top 3 WRs vs. Vegas.
Cardinals WR Rondale Moore (hamstring) is out for this weekend's opener vs. the Chiefs. He hurt his hamstring on Thursday and didn't practice on Friday. We'll look for further updates on Moore's hamstring, but this could be a multi-game absence. With WR DeAndre Hopkins out on suspension, it'll be Marquise Brown, A.J. Green, Andy Isabella and Greg Dortch as Arizona's top 4 WRs on Sunday. It's a concern for QB Kyler Murray.
Cardinals WR Rondale Moore injured his hamstring running a route in Thursday's practice, Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson reports. Moore is scheduled for an MRI to determine the severity. We'll pass along an update when we get one, but Moore now looks unlikely to play vs. the Chiefs on Sunday. Arizona, of course, is also without WR DeAndre Hopkins, leaving Marquise Brown, A.J. Green, Andy Isabella and Greg Dortch as the top 4 WRs. It's a concern for QB Kyler Murray.
Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the 49ers. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 10. With WR A.J. Green (COVID) also out, Arizona is down to WRs Christian Kirk, Rondale Moore, Antoine Wesley and Andy Isabella. Consider Kirk and Moore WR3s with Colt McCoy under center.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals are "not optimistic" that WR Larry Fitzgerald will play today against the Rams. With Christian Kirk already on the COVID list, that would likely elevate Andy Isabella to the #3 WR spot behind DeAndre Hopkins and KeeSean Johnson. Isabella has been a healthy scratch the past 3 weeks. Arizona already gets a tough matchup vs. the Rams defense. Losing 2 of his normal top 3 WRs certainly doesn't help QB Kyler Murray.
The Cardinals on Saturday placed WR Christian Kirk on the COVID list. That knocks him out for Sunday's game against the Rams and should leave Larry Fitzgerald and KeeSean Johnson as Arizona's 2nd and 3rd wideouts for the regular-season finale. Andy Isabella might also finally make it off the inactive list. We'll see about Kirk's availability for the playoff opener, if Arizona makes it.
Cardinals WR Andy Isabella is a healthy scratch for today's game against the Giants. Larry Fitzgerald is back to serve as Arizona's slot receiver.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has been activated from the COVID list. He should step back in as Arizona's #3 WR against the Giants this weekend, pushing Andy Isabella back to 4th on the depth chart. Fitz has been a non-factor in fantasy this year, averaging 4.3 catches and 34 yards per game with 0 TDs.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald remains on the COVID list as of Friday afternoon and is unlikely to play against the Rams this weekend. With Fitz out last week, WR Andy Isabella played 56% of Arizona’s offensive snaps and saw 6 targets. He’s a WR4 play vs. a tough Rams pass defense.
Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has tested positive for COVID and will miss at least Sunday's game against the Patriots. Fitz has played 80% of Arizona's offensive snaps and averaged 5.7 targets per game this season, so it's not an insignificant loss. His absence this weekend should mean more playing time for WR Andy Isabella, who becomes an intriguing season-long and DFS flier. When WR Christian Kirk missed Week 3, Isabella posted a 4-47-2 line on 4 targets.
Cardinals WR Christian Kirk (groin) is out for Sunday’s game against the Lions. That should move Andy Isabella into 3-WR sets, putting him in play for DFS tournaments. Kirk’s absence could also mean a few extra targets for WRs DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald.
Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury wants to get WR Andy Isabella a bigger role in 2020. “I have to do a better job of expanding his role and finding ways to get him on the field and get him utilized," Kingsbury said. Isabella saw just 13 targets as a rookie last year -- but still had gains of 88 and 55 yards. The problem is that he figures to open the season as Arizona's #4 WR behind DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald. The Cardinals had 4+ WRs on the field for 33% of their offensive snaps last season, but that's still not enough to make Isabella a reliable fantasy play. He'll need a promotion or an injury to 1 of those top 3 guys. Isabella is a nice dynasty stash but just a waiver-wire watch list guy in redraft.
Cardinals WR Christian Kirk (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. WR Damiere Byrd (hamstring) is listed as questionable but didn’t practice all week and seems like a long shot to play. That’ll leave WRs KeeSean Johnson, Trent Sherfield, Andy Isabella and Pharoh Cooper behind Larry Fitzgerald in the pecking order. Fitz is the only guy we can trust in fantasy lineups.
Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury considers WR Christian Kirk (ankle) "unlikely" to play against the Bengals this weekend. Kingsbury did add that Kirk will be limited in practice this week and that the ankle injury isn't as serious as the team initially feared. WR Damiere Byrd (hamstring) is also not expected to play on Sunday, per Kingsbury, leaving Arizona down to WRs Larry Fitzgerald, KeeSean Johnson, Trent Sherfield and Andy Isabella.
The Athletic's Scott Bodrow calls KeeSean Johnson the Cardinals' "clear" #3 WR, behind Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald. Johnson was the 3rd WR Arizona drafted this spring -- after Andy Isabella and Hakeem Butler -- but has reportedly had the best camp so far. Isabella and Butler, meanwhile, have both struggled with drops, per Bodrow. This competition is far from over, but Johnson is now on the radar as a late-round flier in fantasy drafts. We just bumped him up the WR rankings.
Cardinals WR Andy Isabella is dealing with a "minor knee issue," HC Kliff Kingsbury said Friday. The coach is "hopeful" his rookie will be ready for the team's 1st preseason game. This doesn't sound like anything serious, but Isabella needs all the reps he can get if he wants to win a significant early-season role. KeeSean Johnson has reportedly been the most impressive of Arizona's rookie WRs in camp so far.
