Chris Olave Appears on Track for Week 1 After January Blood Clot

We reported last week that Saints WR Chris Olave remained sidelined after a blood clot was found in his lung in January. According to New Orleans Football's Nick Underhill, Olave is slated to get off his blood thinners on June 29. It sounds like he'll be fully cleared at that point. "Everything to this point is going exactly as planned," Underhill adds.

Saints Take Another WR Shot on Bryce Lance

The New Orleans Saints selected North Dakota State WR Bryce Lance in Round 4 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Like his brother Trey, Lance starred at North Dakota State. He moved into the starting lineup in 2024 and immediately delivered. He posted back-to-back 1,000- yard seasons and earned first-team allconference honors both years. Lance brings ideal boundary size and vertical juice. He averaged 21.2 yards per catch in 2025 and posted an elite 3.57 yards per route run, one of the strongest efficiency marks in the class. The tape matches the numbers. Lance wins downfield with body control, tracking ability, and finishing strength. Competition level and age (25 in September) work against Lance

Saints Get Jordyn Tyson to Support Second-Year QB Tyler Shough

The New Orleans Saints selected Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson with the eighth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The lone red flag on Tyson’s profile is durability. He missed roughly 34% of his college career with a multi-ligament knee injury, a broken collarbone, hamstring issues, and a Lisfranc injury. That history presents downside risk, but Tyson looked like a potential No. 1 WR when healthy. He peaked as a junior, posting a huge 75-1,101-10 line. Playing under WRs coach (and former Steelers WR) Hines Ward, Tyson posted a strong 3.04 yards per route run while seeing a near-even mix of usage inside and out. He brings NFL size at 6’2, 203 pounds, wins with sharp route running, and creates separation at all levels. Tyson’s physical tools give him a chance to be the best WR in this class.

Chris Olave Out For Week 18 With Blood Clot

Saints WR Chris Olave will miss Sunday's game vs. the Falcons after a blood clot was detected in his lung, New Orleans Football's Nick Underhill reports. The issue was caught early, per Underhill, and Olave is being discharged from the hospital today. It doesn't sound like there will be any long-term impacts here. But the Saints lose the engine of the passing game for Week 18. Olave's absence leaves the WR corps to Kevin Austin, Mason Tipton, and Dante Pettis, among others. TE Juwan Johnson might be the team's best target bet. QB Tyler Shough is a much less attractive fantasy play sans Olave.

Update: Olave is expected to be sidelined for about a month, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Barring a setback, this shouldn't have too big an impact on his offseason.

        Chris Olave Active

Saints WR Chris Olave (back) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. Despite being limited in Friday’s practice and listed as questionable, New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill said Friday that Olave will be a “full go” in this one. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed this morning that Olave will have “no restrictions” today. Keep him glued into fantasy lineups.

Chris Olave Expected To Play Week 17

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Saints WR Chris Olave (back) is expected to play vs. the Titans today. Olave's limited practice on Friday was precautionary by all accounts. He's safe to keep in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

Chris Olave Questionable For Week 17

Saints WR Chris Olave (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Titans. He was limited in Friday’s practice after full workouts the previous two days. But New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill reports that it was precautionary and that Olave is expected to be “full go” on Sunday. He can stay penciled into fantasy lineups.

Devaughn Vele Out For Week 16

Saints WR Devaughn Vele (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets, HC Kellen Moore said Wednesday. Vele has emerged as a key cog in New Orleans' passing game lately, totaling 16 catches, 202 yards, and a score over the last three games. His absence gives WR Chris Olave and TE Juwan Johnson more target upside.

        Chris Olave Active

Saints WR Chris Olave (back) is active for today’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and was listed as questionable. There never seemed to be much concern about Olave’s availability for this one, but it’s safe to assume that he’s still not at 100%. That has Olave sitting a bit lower than usual in the Week 14 WR rankings.

Chris Olave Expected To Play Week 14

Saints WR Chris Olave is expected to play vs. the Buccaneers tomorrow, insider Nick Underhill confirms. Olave reportedly started having back spasms last week. He played in the loss to Miami but got in just two limited practices this week and is listed as questionable. The issue adds some risk to Olave's outlook, but he still sits safely inside WR2 territory in our Week 14 rankings.

Chris Olave Questionable For Week 14

Saints WR Chris Olave (back) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Buccaneers. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Olave was in a similar boat last week and registered a typical snap rate in the loss to Miami, although his 18% target share was his second-lowest of the season. Olave sits a bit lower than usual in the Week 14 WR rankings but still belongs in the vast majority of fantasy lineups.

Chris Olave Returns To Limited Practice Thursday

Saints WR Chris Olave (back) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He should be able to suit up for this weekend's game vs. the Buccaneers, but that back might still be a factor. We'll see what Olave does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report.

        Chris Olave Held Out Wednesday

Saints WR Chris Olave (back) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this issue last week, so we're expecting him to be out there vs. the Buccaneers on Sunday. But the back might have played a part in Olave registering his second-lowest target share of the season last week (18%). He'll be a more comfortable Week 14 fantasy start if he can get in a full practice on Thursday and/or Friday.
