Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee, ankle) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the Bills. He’s expected to be back for next week’s playoff opener. De’Von Achane should operate as Miami’s clear lead back tonight, with RB Jeff Wilson behind him.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee, ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Ravens. RBs De’Von Achane, Jeff Wilson, and Chris Brooks are active for Miami. Achane figures to get a touch boost with Mostert out, but we’re also expecting Wilson to be plenty involved. See the updated projections for the Dolphins backfield.

ESPN and NFL Network report that Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee, ankle) will NOT play vs. the Ravens today. Mostert has been battling various injuries throughout the season, but this will be the first game that he misses. His absence will leave Miami's backfield to De'Von Achane, Jeff Wilson, and Chris Brooks. Achane is likely to get more work with Mostert out, although we doubt Miami makes him a workhorse. Wilson figures to mix in plenty and could be a RB3 or flex option for fantasy teams.

The final numbers from Sunday's blowout win over the Commanders suggest Dolphins RB De'Von Achane took over the backfield in his second return from a knee injury. The rookie tallied a 17-73-2 rushing line, leading the team in carries, yards, and TDs. And he ranked third among Dolphins in receptions (3) and receiving yards (30). Raheem Mostert trailed at 11-43-1 rushing, catching his lone target for 8 yards. But usage looked very different before and after halftime. According to Pro Football Focus, Mostert played 19 of Miami's 29 offensive snaps in the first half, compared with Achane's 12. Mostert hit halftime with a 9-3 carry lead and 1 target to Achane's 2 -- and Miami leading 31-7. Mostert played just 4 more snaps after the break, compared with Achane's 23. The rookie scored both of his TDs in that span. Mostert's TD came in the first half. So what's the takeaway? Expect both RBs to remain plenty involved and carry weekly TD upside. The remaining four matchups in most fantasy schedules don't look good for RB scoring (10th-worst schedule in the league by our adjusted fantasy points allowed). But the slate looks even worse for passing points. So consider Mostert and Achane weekly starting options the rest of the way. Jeff Wilson Jr., meanwhile, garnered only 4 carries even in a blowout victory. He's safe to drop in most fantasy formats.

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) will play vs. the Commanders this weekend, HC Mike McDaniel said Friday. The rookie shapes up as a risk/reward Week 13 fantasy play. He returned from this knee injury two weeks ago but lasted just three snaps before aggravating the injury. Achane has remained limited in practice this week. That's the downside. The upside? How about 518 total yards and seven TDs in his last three healthy games. Achane's return is just a slight knock against RB Raheem Mostert but knocks RB Jeff Wilson out of RB3 or flex consideration.

Update: Achane was a full participant in Friday's practice and is not listed on the final injury report.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Monday that two key factors kept RB De'Von Achane out of Friday's win over the Jets. First, Miami wants to have "full confidence" in Achane's knee before playing him again, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. Friday's game also meant a short week and a matchup with a physical opponent. Achane reportedly has a better chance of playing this Sunday against the Commanders, though the Dolphins obviously aren't making that decision yet. We'll watch the rookie RB's status throughout the week.

Dolphins RB De’Von Achane (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Jets. He got in three limited practices this week and was listed as questionable, so a Week 13 return seems possible. RBs Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson, and Darrynton Evans are active for Miami today. Mostert should handle the majority of the backfield work against New York’s 29th-ranked RB defense.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Dolphins don't expect RB De'Von Achane (knee) to play today against the Jets. He adds that it's not a "long term" injury, so don't be surprised if Achane's ready for Week 13. Pelissero says to expect "a lot" of Raheem Mostert and "some" Jeff Wilson Jr. in the Black Friday game. Mostert makes for a strong fantasy play in a matchup that's much friendlier to rushing than passing. Wilson's a fine roster stash given Achane's situation and could pay off in DFS showdown lineups. But he has only 13 touches through three appearances this season and was a healthy scratch last week. So we wouldn't recommend trying Wilson in common-sized fantasy football league lineups.

The Dolphins placed RB Salvon Ahmed on IR with a foot injury suffered in the Week 11 win over the Raiders. Ahmed is out for at least the next four games, making Week 16 his earliest possible return. He can be dropped from all redraft rosters. With RB De'Von Achane (knee) likely out for at least Friday's game vs. the Jets, Jeff Wilson will be elevated to the No. 2 spot on the depth chart. He'd be a desperation Week 12 fantasy play but is certainly worth stashing on fantasy benches. Wilson is now a Raheem Mostert injury away from a big role.

Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Raiders. The rookie isn’t the safest play in his first action since Week 5, but his upside is huge. Achane finished as a top-5 PPR RB in each of his last three games. And Vegas ranks 23rd in adjusted fantasy points allowed to RBs. RB Jeff Wilson is a healthy scratch today, leaving Salvon Ahmed as the No. 3 RB behind Achane and Raheem Mostert.

The Dolphins have activated RB De'Von Achane (knee) from IR, making him available to play Sunday against the Raiders. We've been expecting Achane to be available this week, his first week of eligibility. You can find the rookie in RB1 territory of our Week 11 rankings. His return adds a challenge for RB Raheem Mostert's workload, but he still carries plenty of upside as well and belongs in your fantasy lineup in most cases.

The Dolphins are opening the 21-day practice window for rookie RB De'Von Achane to return from IR. Achane missed the past four games with a knee sprain, but Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald says it "sounds like there's an excellent chance" the rookie plays this week. HC Mike McDaniel reportedly even indicated that Achane could have played through the issue with a brace on the affected knee. But the team decided that didn't fit the player's long-term interests. Achane, of course, has scored fantasy points at a ridiculous rate when on the field so far this year, leading all RBs in PPR points per game on just 11.75 touches per contest. He's likely bound for some regression on that, but should also remain a weekly fantasy starter. His combo of game-breaking speed and an offense designed to exploit that skill makes Achane a high-upside play across matchups. His return challenges RB Raheem Mostert's role a bit but hasn't altered Mostert's touch count to date. Mostert has averaged 13.4 touches across five full games without Achane; 14.0 per game in the three contests in which Achane played a significant role. (The rookie touched the ball only twice in his first game.) RBs Jeff Wilson Jr. and Salvon Ahmed, on the other hand, can be dropped in most redraft formats.

Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert cashed in a goal line rushing score against New England. That proved critical, as he gained only 46 yards on 13 carries. Despite 45 passes from Tua Tagovailoa, the veteran RB wasn't targeted. Also note: Jeff Wilson mixed in for 5 attempts (25% of the team RB total), while Salvon Ahmed saw 2 (10%). De’Von Achane won’t return until Week 11 at the earliest, so keep Mostert in lineups as a no-doubt fantasy starter. Next up is a matchup with Kansas City.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Eagles. We’re not expecting him to play a big role in his 2023 debut, especially considering how well RB Raheem Mostert has played. Wilson is a nice stash in season-long leagues, though, and a potential flier in one-game DFS contests.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) has been activated from IR. He's set to make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles on Sunday night. We're only projecting Wilson for a handful of touches behind RB Raheem Mostert this week, but Wilson's role could grow quicky.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 7 injury report. He’s seemingly in line to make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles on Sunday night, although Wilson still needs to be activated from IR. Considering how well RB Raheem Mostert has played, we’d be surprised if Wilson played a big role out of the gate. He’s not a strong Week 7 fantasy play but is certainly worth stashing on benches.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) put in a full practice on Wednesday. That should have him on track to make his 2023 debut vs. the Eagles on Sunday night. It's tough to imagine Wilson stealing a ton of work out of the gate from RB Raheem Mostert, who's been awesome so far this season. But we'll keep a close eye on Wilson's role. He's worth stashing in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers. He put in three limited practices this week, so we'll see if he's ready to make his 2023 debut next weekend vs. the Eagles. RB Raheem Mostert should handle the majority of Miami's backfield work tomorrow.

Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson (ribs, finger) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Panthers. He put in three limited practices this week, so he shouldn't be far from making his 2023 debut. Wilson's absence this weekend will leave RBs Salvon Ahmed and Chris Brooks behind Raheem Mostert. Mostert should control the backfield work in a dream matchup against Carolina's 29th-ranked RB defense.
