Despite the return of disgruntled veteran WR Brandin Cooks, 2nd-year WR Nico Collins led the team in targets (10) and catches (5) in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Collins also played more snaps (50-41) than Cooks and ran more routes (33-26). Collins took his 5 receptions for 49 yards, ranking 3rd behind TE Jordan Akins (3-72) and WR Chris Moore (3-70). Collins did claim the team's only TD reception. Moore tied Cooks for 2nd on the team in pass routes, with Akins and WR Phillip Dorsett just 5 routes behind. Cooks will need to pick back up in that area to comfortably reside in fantasy WR3 territory going forward. To be fair, he did catch a 19-yard TD in the 4th quarter Sunday that was nullified by a holding penalty. A Week 11 matchup with the Commanders presents upside for the Houston passing game.

Texans TE Brevin Jordan is a healthy scratch for today’s game vs. the Giants. That leaves Houston with TEs O.J. Howard, Jordan Akins and Teagan Quitoriano. This remains a situation to avoid in Week 10 fantasy lineups.

Texans TE Brevin Jordan (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He put in full practices on Thursday and Friday, though, so we’re expecting him to play. Jordan will join O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins in Houston’s TE corps.

Texans TE Brevin Jordan (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. TE Pharaoh Brown was released earlier this week, so it’ll be O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins at TE on Sunday.

The Texans released TE Pharaoh Brown. He missed Week 4 with a shoulder injury but led Houston TEs in pass routes in Weeks 2 and 3. The Texans are now down to TE Brevin Jordan, who's missed the last 2 games with an ankle injury, TE O.J. Howard, who is coming off a 65% route rate and 14% target share this past week, and TE Jordan Akins. Howard is worth stashing in deeper fantasy leagues.

Texans TE Pharaoh Brown (shoulder) is inactive for today's game vs. the Chargers. With TE Brevin Jordan (ankle) also out, Houston is down to TEs Jordan Akins and O.J. Howard.

Texans TE Brevin Jordan (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers. TE Pharaoh Brown and Jordan Akins split pass-catching duties in Jordan’s absence last week. Avoid the situation.

Fourth-round rookie TE Daniel Bellinger just might be the favorite to start for the the Giants this season. NJ.com's Zack Rosenblatt reports that Bellinger was "almost exclusively running with the first-team offense" at Thursday's OTA practice. "Ricky Seals-Jones and Jordan Akins are both healthy and were running with the backups," Rosenblatt added. Although it's tough to count on much from any rookie TE -- let alone a 4th-round pick -- this report highlights Bellinger's limited competition on the road to a lead job. He's not a bad shot to take as a 3rd TE in best-ball drafts right now, especially when stacked with QB Daniel Jones. We'll keep watching how the situation develops.

The Giants added San Diego State TE Daniel Bellinger in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Bellinger totaled just 68 catches for 771 yards and 5 TDs across 4 college seasons. He fared poorly in Pro Football Focus receiving grade and yards per route run last year. On the plus side, the 6'5, 247-pounder earned a 97th percentile Relative Athletic Score at the Combine, highlighted by a 4.63-second 40 time. That at least gives him the potential to be more productive in the pros than he was in college. Bellinger joins a wide-open Giants TE group alongside Ricky Seals-Jones and Jordan Akins.

The Giants signed TE Jordan Akins to a 1-year deal. The 30-year-old never cracked fantasy's top 25 TEs across his 4 seasons in Houston, topping out with a 36-418-2 line in 2019. Akins joins Ricky Seals-Jones in New York's remade TE room. We'd consider RSJ the favorite to lead Giants TEs in targets this season, but we'll keep an eye on the situation this summer.

Texans TE Pharaoh Brown (ankle, shoulder) is active for today’s game against the Browns. He split work with TE Jordan Akins in the opener, leaving both guys without any bankable fantasy value.

Texans TE Pharaoh Brown (ankle, shoulder) is questionable for this weekend’s game against the Browns. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. Brown basically split snaps and pass routes with TE Jordan Akins in the opener. So Brown’s absence would help Akins’ outlook -- but hopefully you can do better in fantasy lineups.
