Titans WR Julio Jones took part in practice Tuesday for the 1st time since an Aug. 2 spill took him off the field. It sounds like Tennessee was limited in its activity Tuesday, so we’ll see how much Jones participates in the next full workout. This is obviously a positive development, though.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that the injury that's sidelined Titans WR Julio Jones for the past 4 days is "nothing major." Rapoport adds that Tennessee plans to manage Jones' practice reps throughout the season. Smart. Jones has played all 16 games in just 4 of 10 NFL seasons and remains 1 of the bigger injury risks at WR heading into 2021. But he also remains a good bet for at least WR2 production when he's on the field.

Titans WR Julio Jones missed his 2nd straight practice on Wednesday with an undisclosed injury. HC Mike Vrabel had no timeline for Jones' return and suggested that Jones might not practice much in camp, according to Jim Wyatt of the team's official website. We haven't heard anything to suggest that Jones' injury is serious, but we'll keep an eye on him.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Falcons are trading WR Julio Jones to the Titans for "at least a 2nd-round pick." We'll see about the final details, but the move obviously means big impact for a pair of offenses. Acquiring a top-shelf WR talent could indicate a desire to lean a little more toward the pass in Tennessee. Jones' arrival certainly hurts the target ceiling for A.J. Brown and leaves fewer looks for other Titans. His departure from Atlanta makes Calvin Ridley the #1 wideout and elevates the rest of a shaky depth chart. Tajae Sharpe and Olamide Zaccheaus could be battling for the #2 outside WR spot in 3-wide sets. Rookie TE Kyle Pitts finds a higher target ceiling as well. We'll continue evaluating this developing situation for both offenses.

Update: Rapoport hears that the Falcons are receiving a 2022 2nd-round pick and a 2023 4th for Jones and a 2023 6th-rounder.

The Athletic's Jeff Schultz reports that the Falcons "would like to trade" WR Julio Jones. We heard from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport in April that teams had been calling Atlanta to inquire about the availability of Jones. But this is the 1st report saying the team is actually looking to move him. The Falcons are in a rough spot vs. the salary cap and would save $15.3 million against it by trading Jones after June 1. Schultz lists the Ravens, 49ers, Patriots, Colts and Chargers as teams who might be interested. Stay tuned.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that teams have been calling the Falcons to inquire about the availability of WR Julio Jones. Talks like this happen all the time, so this certainly doesn't mean Jones is on his way out. But it's worth noting that Atlanta is up against the salary cap and would save about $15 million by dealing Jones after June 1. "A trade could not happen for cap reasons before June 1, but teams know Atlanta’s brutal cap situation and are calling," Rapoport said. "A deal won’t happen now, but later? Maybe." We'll continue to keep an eye on this. A Jones trade would be a blow to QB Matt Ryan's fantasy stock but leave a ton of targets available for Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage, Hayden Hurst and potentially rookie Kyle Pitts.

The Falcons have hired Arthur Smith as HC. Smith spent the past 2 seasons as OC in Tennessee, leading the Titans to top 12 finishes in points and yards both years. He leaned heavily on RB Derrick Henry but also helped QB Ryan Tannehill to his 2 best seasons as a pro. Tannehill notably ranked 9th and 1st, respectively, in percentage of passes to come off play-action the past 2 years. Consider the hire good news for QB Matt Ryan and the Falcons passing game.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bucs. He ends up missing 5 of the season’s final 6 games. Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage will again operate as Atlanta’s top 2 WRs this weekend.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage will continue to operate as Atlanta’s top 2 WRs. Jones’ absence makes Matt Ryan a shaky QB1 play.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Interim HC Raheem Morris said Jones is "a bit closer" to returning but wouldn't commit to him playing vs. the Chiefs this weekend. We'll continue to track his progress, but fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on Jones in Week 16 lineups.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Falcons WR Julio Jones is still hoping to play again this season, despite a lingering hamstring injury and his team being out of playoff contention. Jones recently received a platelet-rich plasma injection in that bum hamstring in hopes of speeding up the healing process. We'll see if he can make it back for next weekend's game vs. the Chiefs.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bucs. WR Calvin Ridley will continue to serve as Atlanta’s alpha, with Russell Gage as the #2 WR. QB Matt Ryan has been unusable in fantasy without Julio this season.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. “We’ll take Julio as far as we can take him each week to see if we can get him to play and be productive,” interim HC Raheem Morris said. “If we can’t, we’ll just have to move on for that week and give him another opportunity the following week. We’ll see where he is this week.” We'll continue to keep an eye on Jones, but fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him in Week 15 lineups.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game against the Chargers. It looks like he suffered a setback with that hammy this week. Atlanta's passing game has struggled without Jones this season, so downgrade QB Matt Ryan. WR Calvin Ridley, WR Russell Gage and TE Hayden Hurst should get target boosts with Jones out.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Saints. He only got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday, so don’t expect him to be at 100% for this one. That leaves Julio as a risk/reward WR2 in fantasy lineups.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is expected to play against the Saints today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Jones got in just 2 limited practices this week, so don't expect him to be at 100% today. It makes Jones more of a risk/reward WR2 than his usual WR1 status. His return is good news for QB Matt Ryan.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday and said Friday that he was feeling good. We’ll continue to look for updates on Jones and will get his game status around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

After putting in a limited practice on Wednesday, Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday. No bueno. Fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on Jones in Week 13 fantasy lineups. His absence would keep Matt Ryan well outside QB1 territory in the rankings.

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) will remain limited in Wednesday's practice, HC Raheem Morris said. Jones put in limited practices last Wednesday and Thursday before missing Friday's practice and the Raiders game. We'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

11:11am EST 11/29/20

Falcons WR Julio Jones (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Raiders. WR Olamide Zaccheaus figures to replace Jones in the starting lineup — but WR Calvin Ridley should dominate Atlanta targets.
