Saints RB Travis Etienne (hamstring) remained sidelined in practice all week. He was eligible to come off IR for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns but isn’t ready. RB C.J. Saints RB Travis Etienne (hamstring) is eligible to return this week but remains on short-term IR and did not practice on Wednesday. That has him looking unlikely to play vs. the Browns this weekend. Etienne's absence would again leave the backfield to Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller. A healthier Kamara re-took the lead last time out, out-snapping Miller 32 to 22. He's the preferred fantasy play in this backfield but isn't more than a RB3.

CJ Donaldson left after the Saints’ first drive with a shoulder injury and was ruled out at halftime, leaving the backfield to Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller. Neither could get going on the ground, combining for 11 yards on 14 carries against Pittsburgh’s run defense. Kamara made up for it as a receiver, catching all 7 of his targets for 57 yards. He earned a 54% route share, a 32% target rate per route run and 58% of third-down snaps. Miller handled half the RB rush attempts but managed just 6 yards on 8 carries, adding 3 catches for 22 yards. He did take every carry inside the 10 and 75% of two-minute RB snaps. Kamara’s receiving work made him RB21 for the week, while Miller finished as RB42.

RB Alvin Kamara turned 7 carries into 34 yards and caught 2 of 4 targets for 35 yards and a TD. That made him the RB11 with 14.9 PPR points on just 19 snaps. He was limited in practice all week with a back injury and left in the middle of the second quarter with a back injury, but later returns. RB Kendre Miller led the backfield with 32 snaps, running 20 times for 70 yards and catching 2 passes for no yards. He finished as the RB22 with 9.0 points, and C.J. Donaldson stayed in his third-down role with 24 snaps.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara played a season-low 12 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, a game he entered questionable after a back issue limited his practice time during the week. Kamara finished with just 3 carries for 12 yards and 2 catches for minus-6 on 2 targets. CJ Donaldson led the New Orleans backfield at 19 snaps, carrying four times for 13 yards and catching his only target for 7. Kendre Miller posted a 10-30-1 rushing line -- scoring the team's lone offensive TD -- while running just one pass route.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (back) did not practice on Wednesday. He played 28 snaps just two days ago, so this could just be early-week rest for the veteran. We'll update Kamara's status again tomorrow. His absence vs. the Vikings this weekend would leave New Orleans' backfield to Kendre Miller and C.J. Donaldson.

RB Travis Etienne scored in line with his ADP in Sunday's opener at Detroit, but he did so in a way he might not be able to sustain. Etienne's 14.8 PPR points against the Lions fell just 0.1 short of his 2025 scoring average in Jacksonville and places him15th among Week 1 RBs (heading into the Monday night game). But Etienne tied for just 34th at the position with 9 carries, and one of the guys he tied with was teammate Kendre Miller.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara left a scrimmage with the Dallas Cowboys with a knee injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the injury was a sprained MCL and will miss at least the next month with the injury. That sets up RB Travis Etienne for a full workload and makes Kamara undraftable in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Saints RB Kendre Miller has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, according to insider Jordan Schultz. That'll cost Miller the rest of the season and likely mean more work for RB Alvin Kamara going forward.
