Seahawks QB Geno Smith went 26 of 34 (76.5%) for 275 yards (8.1 per attempt), 2 TDs and an INT in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. Smith found WRs Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf for his 2 scores. Metcalf tied TE Noah Fant for the team lead with 6 targets. Fant led the way with 5 catches for 96 yards. Metcalf totaled just 37 yards on his 5 receptions. Lockett caught all 5 of his targets for 67 yards.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (hamstring) is not listed on the final Week 9 injury report. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice after being limited the previous 2 days. Fant will continue splitting TE work with Will Dissly, leaving both guys outside TE1 territory.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (hamstring) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We'll see what he does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report for this weekend's game vs. the Cardinals.

Seahawks TE Noah Fant (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice. We'll see how he progresses over the next few days. TE Will Dissly would become a potential fantasy spot start if Fant can't play vs. the Cardinals on Sunday.

Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin caught both of QB Geno Smith's TD passes in Sunday's win over the Chargers, snaring 4 of 5 targets overall for 67 yards. WR Tyler Lockett led Seattle in targets (8) and receptions (7) but managed only 45 yards. QB Geno Smith threw for a mere 210 yards, with TE Will Disly (4) and RB DeeJay Dallas the only 2 other Seahawks to catch multiple passes. WR D.K. Metcalf left early with a knee injury.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 197 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals. TE Noah Fant and WR D.K. Metcalf tied for the team target lead with 7. Want caught a team-high 6 passes for a team-high 43 yards. Metcalf managed only 2 receptions for 34 yards. WR Tyler Lockett checked in next with 5 targets, catching only 2 for 17 yards. WR Dee Eskridge was the only other Seahawk with more than 2 receptions. He posted a 3-39 receiving line on 3 targets.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith threw for 320 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win at Detroit, his 2nd straight game of 320+ yards. Smith again favored D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, targeting them with a combined 60% of his pass attempts. Metcalf caught 7 of 10 looks for 149 yards. Lockett posted a 6-91 receiving line on 8 targets. TEs Will Dissly and Noah Fant caught the TD passes. Smith gets a tougher matchup in Week 5 (Saints). After that comes a favorable home date with Arizona.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said TE Noah Fant had the "most spectacular camp of anybody" at June's mandatory minicamp, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. We all know Carroll is prone to hyperbole and general positivity. But this also follows reports of the new Seahawk digging a TE-friendly offense. Combine it all with an ADP that finds the former 1st-round pick deep in TE2 territory, and Fant presents clear value in fantasy football drafts right now.

We passed along a report earlier this week of Seahawks OC Shane Waldron's scheme looking friendly to TEs. Well, Noah Fant agrees. The former Bronco called it "very favorable" on Thursday, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson, specifically mentioning the downfield opportunities. That sounds especially good for Fant, who ran a 98th-percentile 40 time for the position. "I'm excited to be in this offense," Fant said. "I think I can do some good things in it." Seattle's weak QB situation has us cautious, but Fant's TE18 ADP (TE21 on Underdog) is just as cautious. That means there's more upside than risk.

Seahawks beat writer Brady Henderson writes that “TEs could be a bigger part” of the offense in 2022. The Seahawks ranked a mid-pack 17th in TE target share last year, so there’s room for growth. Noah Fant arrived over the offseason to give this unit a boost in athleticism. And don't forget about Will Dissly, who somehow earned a contract worth almost $16 million guaranteed in March. For now, we’re treating Fant as a TE2 and Dissly as a fantasy non-factor.

The Broncos have traded TE Noah Fant to Seattle as part of the Russell Wilson deal. That lands Fant in an offense with a TE void. Gerald Everett and Will Dissly are each set to hit free agency this month. His departure also leaves Albert Okwuegbunam as Denver's top incumbent at the position. Fant's new team will need to answer a big question at QB, where Drew Lock looks like the best current option. He faces potential opportunity but also joins an offensive system that didn't even go pass-heavy with Wilson at the helm. That fails to excite us for Fant's fantasy outlook. Okwuegbunam, meanwhile, brings physical upside -- albeit in a still-crowded offense. If he remains in the late rounds of current best-ball drafting, though, the 3rd-year player could be a terrific sleeper.

The Broncos fired HC Vic Fangio. He won just 7, 5 and 7 games across 3 seasons with Denver. No word yet on OC Pat Shurmur, but we imagine he'll also be gone. We'll see who GM George Paton tabs as his new HC.

Update: The Broncos have also fired OC Pat Shurmur, according to insider Mike Klis.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy was placed on the COVID list on Friday, making him a long shot to play vs. the Chargers on Sunday. WR Tim Patrick is also on the COVID list, so Denver will likely be down to WRs Courtland Sutton, Kendall Hinton and Diontae Spencer. Sutton and TEs Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam should get target boosts this weekend, but it's still tough to get excited about any of them with QB Drew Lock.

Broncos WR Tim Patrick has been placed on the COVID list. He'll likely miss Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. Patrick has averaged 5 targets per game this season, so his absence leaves some extra volume for Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant. It'd still be tough to trust any of those guys in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles after getting in 2 limited practices this week. His absence would be a boost to TE Noah Fant’s outlook. Fant has averaged 8 targets per game without Okwuegbunam this season vs. 5.3 with him.

Broncos OC Pat Shurmur is in COVID protocols and won't be available for Sunday's game against the Eagles, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Shurmur is Denver's offensive play-caller, so it's less-than-ideal for QB Teddy Bridgewater and Denver's skill-position guys.

Broncos TE Noah Fant has been activated from the COVID-19 list. The 24-year-old sat out last Sunday's win over Dallas. Back healthy, he profiles as a low-end TE1 this week vs. Philadelphia.

Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam (knee) is active for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. He was limited in practice all week, but we never heard any concern about his availability for this one. With TE Noah Fant (COVID) out, Okwuegbunam is a viable Week 9 spot starter.
