The Tuscaloosa (Ala.) district attorney’s office has dismissed the misdemeanor marijuana charge against 49ers LB Reuben Foster after he finished a diversion course. That clears Foster of any further legal discipline, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the league won’t take action. We’ll see if anything comes on that front

Santa Clara police have charged 49ers LB Reuben Foster with felony domestic violence stemming from a February arrest. According to a press release from the district attorney's office, Foster "physically attacked" his live-in girlfriend, "leaving her bruised and with a ruptured ear drum." Beyond the fact that he's (allegedly) an a-hole, this is the kind of charge that could jeopardize Foster's standing with the Niners and the league. A conviction, meanwhile, could mean 11+ years in jail, according to the press release. We'll see where this case goes, but dynasty owners should go ahead and plan on not having Foster available for at least the near future in IDP leagues.

Niners DT Solomon Thomas (knee) is active for today's game against the Seahawks for the 1st time since suffering a sprained ligament in Week 8 against the Eagles. Thomas is an IDP option at full health but will be risky in his 1st game back.

The 49ers lost DL Solomon Thomas to a knee injury and S Jimmie Ward to a forearm injury in Sunday's loss at Philadelphia. Neither player returned. Ward might be done for the year after suffering a fracture. We have yet to see specifics on Thomas' injury. He's likely headed for further evaluation Sunday night and/or Monday.

Foster told the team website that he hopes to play in the game, while the team site reports Reid "should" return this week. Each is an option for IDP lineups if active. Reid's return makes Jaquiski Tartt tough to trust.
