Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel was optimistic about WR Tyreek Hill's foot injury on Monday but stopped short of saying that he'll definitely be ready for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. “He looked pretty good today,” McDaniel said. “He felt all right. He’s a fast healer, but you don’t know for certain that he’ll play Sunday.” We'll continue to keep you updated on Hill's health.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Monday that QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is not ready for football activities yet. “I’m not really thinking about his timeline, as I’ve said before,” McDaniel said. “We’re just trying to get him as healthy as possible. We’re pretty much in a 12 to 24-hour reoccurring evaluation process. He’s doing well.” Tagovailoa seems like a long shot for Week 6 and might be out beyond that.

49ers RB Jeff Wilson popped off for 17 carries, 120 yards and 1 score in Week 5. Tevin Coleman mixed in for 8 carries, with 5 of them and a garbage time TD coming deep in the 4th. Coleman did catch a 1st quarter TD, however, while he out-targeted Wilson 3-2. Elijah Mitchell (knee) remains at least a couple of weeks away from returning to action. So Wilson — who’s hit 74+ yards in 4 straight — will remain a viable RB2 in the short-term. Next up is a road matchup with Atlanta.

Miami WRs lost their starting QB for the 2nd straight game Sunday, when Teddy Bridgewater left after his 1st snap with a concussion and an elbow injury. Tyreek Hill still managed to catch all 7 of his targets for the game, though he gained only 47 yards. Jaylen Waddle caught all 3 of his targets for 23 yards. We'll see What the QB situation is for Week 6 against Minnesota.

After nudging ahead of Chase Edmonds in recent weeks, Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert took over in Sunday's loss to the Jets. He played 46 snaps vs. 13 for Myles Gaskin and 10 for Chase Edmonds. That included running 20 pass routes to 14 combined for Gaskin and Edmonds. Mostert claimed 18 of 23 RB carries for the game, delivering 113 yards and a TD. TE Durham Smythe ran for the team's only other TD. Edmonds logged just 1 carry for 1 yard and caught neither of his 2 targets. Gaskin ran 4 games for 9 yards and ranked 2nd on the team with 5 targets. He caught 3 of those for 24 yards. Edmonds looks cuttable in many fantasy football leagues at this point.

A source tells Pro Football Talk that Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill's foot injury "is not believed to be serious." That's obviously good news and seemingly rules out a long-term absence, but it doesn't necessarily mean that Hill won't miss time. We should learn more on Monday.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill was wearing a walking boot on his left foot after Sunday's loss to the Jets, per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. HC Mike McDaniel reportedly said that Hill was stepped on late in the game. We'll pass along further updates as we get them.

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Lions. That should mean more routes for TE Hunter Henry, but he’s still tough to trust in fantasy lineups.

11:34am EDT 10/9/22

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (groin) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He played his usual allotment of snaps with this injury last week, so we’re not expecting it to be a big factor today.

11:34am EDT 10/9/22

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (quad) is active for today’s game vs. the Jets. He was added to the injury report on Thursday but was able to get in a limited practice on Friday. There’s some additional risk here, but we wouldn’t bench Hill in this plus matchup.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Dolphins WRs Tyreek Hill (quad) and Jaylen Waddle (groin) are expected to play vs. the Jets today. Both guys carry elevated risk after limited weeks of practice, but you'd need to be stacked at WR to consider benching either guy. Both boast big upside in this plus matchup.

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Lions. That’s theoretically good news for TE Hunter Henry, but he hasn’t done nearly enough early this season to be a bankable Week 5 fantasy play.

As expected, Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (concussion, back, ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets. He might be out for a while. QB Teddy Bridgewater draws the start this weekend and has some spot-start appeal in the plus matchup, as long as WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle play.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (groin) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jets. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Waddle played through this issue last week, registering his usual snap rate but catching just 2 balls for 39 yards. The floor here is lower than usual, but Waddle still has big upside in a plus matchup vs. the Jets.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (quad) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Jets. After being added to the injury report on Thursday, he got in a limited practice on Friday. HC Mike McDaniel said Friday that he’s “very hopeful” Hill will be able to play. We’ll get Miami’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.

The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer out for Sunday's game against the Steelers because of his rib injury. S Damar Hamlin started in place of S Micah Hyde last week and should remain in the lineup. We'll see who replaces Poyer, who didn't miss a snap in the Week 4 win over Baltimore. Jaquan Johnson started next to Hamlin in Week 3, when Buffalo last went without both starting safeties. He looks like the best bet to join Hamlin again. We'd try to look elsewhere for IDP options in most cases.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill was added to Thursday's injury report with a quad and limited in practice. We don't have any other details right now. We'll see what Hill does in Friday's practice and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (groin) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He's on track to play vs. the Jets this weekend, but it'd be nice to see him get in a full practice tomorrow.

Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through this issue last Thursday night, but it's at least slightly concerning that he's not practicing coming off the long week. We'll see if Waddle gets back on the field tomorrow.

Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that QB Tua Tagovailoa will miss the Week 5 game against the Jets and that he has no specific return timeline yet. The QB, of course, is in the league concussion protocol after leaving Thursday night's game on a stretcher. We'll watch for more on his situation. Teddy Bridgewater takes over the high-upside passing game in the meantime.
