Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. HC Mike Macdonald said yesterday that he was hoping to get Metcalf on the field today, so it seems like he's not progressing as hoped. Metcalf now looks very iffy for this weekend's game vs. the Rams. We'll see if he gets on the field tomorrow.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. HC Mike Macdonald said that he's "optimistic" Metcalf will be able to practice on Thursday and play vs. the Rams this weekend. Check back tomorrow for another update on his status.
Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said Monday that he's "optimistic" WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) will play against the Rams this weekend. "He hasn’t practiced yet, so let’s let him practice and see how he feels before we start making judgments on the week," Macdonald added. We'll keep you updated on Metcalf's status throughout this week.
The Steelers have placed WR Roman Wilson on IR for his hamstring injury. The rookie sustained the injury in the practice week leading up to the Week 7 win over the Jets. Wilson missed that game and has played just 5 snaps all year. He previously dealt with an ankle injury suffered before the season.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Bills. He was seemingly pushing to play in this one, so we’re tentatively expecting him back for Week 9’s game vs. the Rams. WR Jake Bobo projects to take most of Metcalf’s snaps today but isn’t a recommended fantasy starter against Buffalo’s 10th-ranked WR defense.
Steelers RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. He put in three limited practices this week but will now aim for a return after a Week 9 bye. RBs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren will continue to handle backfield touches for Pittsburgh on Monday night.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. He’s obviously a long shot to play in that one but should have a chance to make it back for Week 9’s game vs. the Rams. WR Jake Bobo projects to take most of Metcalf’s snaps this Sunday but isn’t a recommended fantasy starter against Buffalo’s 10th-ranked WR defense.
Steelers RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) got in a limited practice on Thursday. That gives him a chance to return for Monday night's game vs. the Giants. Patterson isn't a fantasy option, but he'd likely steal a few touches from RBs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported this morning that Metcalf is "hopeful" to play vs. the Bills this weekend. But, for now, fantasy owners should not plan on having him for Week 8 lineups. We'll keep you updated on Metcalf's status leading up to Sunday. If he misses the Bills game, WR Jake Bobo will likely soak up most of his snaps.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler writes that Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf (knee) is "hopeful" to play vs. the Bills this weekend. "The feeling is the injury won't result in an extended absence for Metcalf," Fowler adds. It sounds like Metcalf should at least be back by Week 9, although it's still worth noting that Seattle has a Week 10 bye. We'll track Metcalf's status throughout the rest of this week.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf is considered "week to week" with a Grade 1 MCL sprain suffered in the Week 7 win over the Falcons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Seattle gets the Bills and Rams the next two weeks before a Week 10 bye, so it's possible we don't see Metcalf again until Week 11.
Seahawks WR DK Metcalf suffered a knee injury late in the game against the Falcons yesterday and was carted off the field. Despite being carted off, his knee injury is not considered serious. More testing will be done today to understand the full extent.
Titans QB Mason Rudolph played over Will Levis and had a below average day to boost the Titans passing game. Rudolph completed 25-of-40 passes for 215 yards. He had a TD and INT. Rudolph also ran for 13 yards.
Seahawks WR DK Metcalf caught a long 35-yard TD Pass against the Falcons. He ended with four catches for 99 yards and that lone TD. Metcalf had 7 targets as well.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Falcons with a knee injury. Metcalf has remained on the sidelines, so this doesn't look like a serious injury. We'll update his status when we know more.
Update: Metcalf wound up getting carted back to the locker room.
Multiple reports say the Titans are expected to start QB Mason Rudolph on Sunday against the Bills. QB Will Levis is officially questionable with the shoulder injury he suffered back in Week 4. He played through it in Week 6 but went limited in practice Wednesday and Friday this week. (Levis practiced in full all three days in Week 6.) The QB switch doesn't change our projections for Titans pass catchers, but we'll see if Rudolph generates more upside.
Colts RB Trey Sermon (knee) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) remained out. It's looking like it'll again be Sermon and Tyler Goodson in the Colts' backfield for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren was upgraded today and now has no injury designation for Week 6 against the Raiders. Warren has dealt with hamstring and knee injuries during the offseason and season so far. He could see a prominent role in the Steelers' run game with Najee Harris being ineffective so far this year.
Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth (calf) is not listed on the final injury report for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He was added to the injury report on Thursday but put in a full practice on Friday, so the calf shouldn’t be an issue. Freiermuth has finished as a top-15 fantasy TE in all five weeks so far.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Raiders. He was a full participant in Friday’s practice, which seemingly puts him on track to play, despite HC Mike Tomlin labeling him doubtful early in the week. Warren would be tough to trust in fantasy lineups in his first action since Week 3, but his return puts a significant dent in RB Najee Harris’ workload projection.
