Jets S Jamal Adams (ankle) is active for today's game against the Bills. He entered the day questionable, but played through last week's questionable tag to return from his 2-game injury. Put Adams into your Week 17 IDP lineups.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said after Sunday's loss to the Cardinals that RBs Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm) are both out for the season. Ouch. Seattle figures to add a RB this week, but Travis Homer will now be atop the depth chart. The 6th-round rookie finished with 16 yards on 5 carries but 6 catches for 26 more yards vs. Arizona. He goes 5'10, 201 pounds and earned a 79th percentile SPARQ score in pre-draft testing. Homer will be a volume-based fantasy starter vs. the 49ers next weekend.
Seahawks RB Chris Carson injured his hip in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game against the Cardinals and is officially questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one. RB C.J. Prosise is done for the day with an arm injury. That leaves Travis Homer as Seattle's only healthy RB.
Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) is inactive for today's game against the Cardinals. LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) is active after missing the past 2 games. He'll make for a risky IDP option, though.
Jets S Jamal Adams (ankle) is active for today's game against the Steelers, as he said he would be. Go ahead and return him to IDP lineups in most cases. Adams' return likely pushes Darryl Roberts back to reserve status.
Jets S Jamal Adams tweeted Saturday, "I'm back." Adams is officially questionable with the ankle injury that cost him the past 2 games. It sounds like you can expect to use him in your IDP lineups, though. We'll confirm that status Sunday morning when the early-game inactives come out.
Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. S Quandre Diggs (ankle) is doubtful as well. CB Shaq Griffin (hamstring) and LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) are questionable. Griffin missed last week's game and then managed only a limited Wednesday practice before sitting out the other 2 days. Kendricks missed the past 2 games but managed 1 more limited practice this week (Friday) than he did last week. Neither guy should be in your IDP plans, if you can help it.
Rams TE Gerald Everett (knee) isn't listed on the final injury report after practicing all week. He'll return for Saturday night's game against the 49ers. Everett isn't a fantasy option but is a concern for TE Tyler Higbee, who was already in a tough spot vs. the league's 3rd-ranked TE defense. Consider Higbee a low-end TE1 for Week 16, despite his recent hot streak.
Rams TE Gerald Everett (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. That puts him on track to return for Saturday night's game against the 49ers. Tyler Higbee leads all TEs in targets, catches and yards over the last 3 weeks -- but note that Everett out-targeted Higbee 59 to 33 over the Rams' first 11 games. We'd bet on Higbee sticking as the lead TE in Week 16, but Everett's return certainly adds risk to his outlook.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters after Sunday's win over the Panthers that MLB Bobby Wagner suffered an ankle sprain late in the game. We'll see whether that threatens Wagner's availability for Week 16. S Quandre Diggs also sprained an ankle in the game. He's not much of an IDP factor for most leagues.
Seahawks CB Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) and DE Ezekiel Ansah (neck) are inactive for today's game against the Panthers. They join DE Jadeveon Clowney and LB Mychal Kendricks, who we already knew would sit. An already-average Seattle D looks vulnerable.
Rams TE Gerald Everett (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. Tyler Higbee leads all TEs in targets (19), catches (14) and yards (223) over the last 2 weeks and is a locked-in TE1 for Week 15.
Rams TE Gerald Everett (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday. HC Sean McVay labeled Everett "day-to-day," adding, "His knee is making progress, but not ready to get out there and practice with us yet." Don't bank on Everett playing against the Cowboys this weekend. That'll again make Tyler Higbee a TE1.
Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny tore his left ACL in Sunday night's loss to the Rams, HC Pete Carroll announced Monday. That obviously ends Penny's season, and the timing could challenge his readiness for the start of 2020. We'll see about his progress over the summer. The injury makes RB Chris Carson an even clearer workhorse for upside matchups with Carolina and Arizona the next 2 weeks. C.J. Prosise was the only other Seattle back to play against the Rams, and he garnered just 1 touch.
Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny hurt his left knee in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Rams and was quickly ruled out. That usually suggests a serious injury. We'll update Penny's status when we learn more. His absence turns Chris Carson back into an every-down back.
Rams TE Gerald Everett (knee) is out for Sunday night’s game against the Seahawks. That again makes TE Tyler Higbee a spot-start option. He played 91% of Los Angeles’ offensive snaps and garnered an 18% target share with Everett out last week.
Rams TE Gerald Everett (knee) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice. If he misses Sunday night's game against the Seahawks, TE Tyler Higbee will remain on the spot-start radar after his massive Week 13.
Jets HC Adam Gase said Monday that S Jamal Adams "is a legit week-to-week" with his sprained left ankle, according to the Washington Post. "I am going to lean on him a lot too as far as how he feels," Gase said. "We want to make sure that he is good to go before we put him back out there." Adams seems likely to miss Sunday's game against the Dolphins. The Jets then play on Thursday night in Week 15. We'll watch for updates on his status later this week.
Seahawks DE Jadeveon Clowney (core) is active for tonight's game against the Vikings after missing Week 13. LB Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) and DT Jarran Reed (ankle) are also active after hitting the day questionable. All are ready for IDP use if you waited for them.
