Cowboys K Greg Zuerlein (back) is active for today's game against Washington. Use him as planned.

Cowboys K Greg Zuerlein (back) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Washington after a limited week of practice. We'll get his official status around 3 pm ET tomorrow, but you might want to look elsewhere for your fantasy lineup.

Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence (illness) is active for today's game against the Vikings. Use him as planned in your IDP lineups.

Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence is questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings. He didn't practice Thursday and then turned up as a non-participant Friday, though the team didn't actually practice. Lawrence reportedly still hopes to play. We'll check his status Sunday afternoon.

Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after fracturing a bone in his left foot in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. That timeline at an already fungible position makes Diggs droppable in redraft IDP leagues. Jourdan Lewis and Anthony Brown were the other CB starters for that game. Saivion Smith picked up Diggs' playing time after the injury. The Cowboys get a Week 10 bye.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) is active for today’s game against the Steelers. He was limited in practice all week, and OC Kellen Moore said Friday that it’s a “wait-and-see thing” in terms of how big a workload Zeke will be able to handle. That, Dallas’ offensive line problems and this brutal matchup leave Elliott as a RB3 for Week 9.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) "has a good chance" to play against the Steelers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "He looked good at Saturday’s workout, but will be tested today pre-game to make sure he can open it up," Rapoport adds. Cowboys-Steelers doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET, so we won't get Zeke's official status until 3 pm. If you're hoping to use him, make sure to have a backup option in place. Tony Pollard would handle the vast majority of Dallas' RB touches if Elliott ends up inactive.

Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys are "preparing to be without" RB Ezekiel Elliott for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Dallas has elevated FB Sewo Olonilua from the practice squad to add backfield depth. Elliott will still reportedly test his hamstring before the game to see if he'll be active. But it seems likely he'll at least see a more limited role than usual. That should mean more time for Tony Pollard, who becomes a fringe PPR option if you're hard up for a RB.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Steelers after a limited week of practice. OC Kellen Moore said Friday that it’s a “wait-and-see thing” in terms of how big a workload Zeke will be able to handle. He was already a RB2 in this spot and now comes with more downside. We’ll see what we hear about Elliott’s status on Sunday morning. Expect to see more RB Tony Pollard, but the matchup dampens his appeal.

Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has been limited in the first 2 practices of the week with a hamstring issue. While we haven't heard any concern about his availability for Sunday's game against the Steelers, beat writer Clarence Hill hears that "there is a question about his work load." So on top of shoddy QB play and poor offensive line play, Zeke now has this hamstring injury to worry about. We'll monitor the situation. Hill adds that "Tony Pollard is prepared for a bigger load."

Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch is active for tonight's game against the Cardinals. It will mark his 1st action since he suffered a collarbone fracture in the opener.

The Cowboys have activated LB Leighton Vander Esch from IR. That falls in line with last week's word from HC Mike McCarthy that Vander Esch was trending toward facing the Cardinals tonight. We'll confirm LVE's active status closer to game time. It's tough to know whether he'll jump back to full playing time right away. But Vander Esch's activation puts him ahead of Joe Thomas as an IDP option for Week 6.

Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy said Saturday that he's "definitely encouraged" about LB Leighton Vander Esch's chance of playing Monday night against the Cardinals. "All the arrows are pointing up right now," McCarthy added. The team has yet to actually activate the LB from IR, though, following surgery for a Week 1 collarbone fracture. If you're hoping to use Vander Esch -- or replacement Joe Thomas -- in your IDP lineup, then you'll need to watch the situation into Monday.

Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch has returned to the practice field this week. CBS Sports reports that he's on track to play Monday night against the Cardinals. Dallas, however, has yet to list him on this week's injury report, which means the team has yet to activate him from IR. Vander Esch suffered a collarbone fracture in Week 1, so playing in Week 6 would mark a surprisingly quick return. Players typically take half a season to return from that surgery. We'll see about Vander Esch's status for Monday night as we move into the weekend. He's at least worth picking up now where available, though, assuming that he'll be ready to play Washington in Week 7. His return will push Joe Thomas back out of the starting lineup.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott underwent successful surgery on his right ankle on Sunday night. He's been told that the recovery timetable is 4-6 months, according to NFL Network's Jane Slater. So Prescott is done for 2020. But, barring setback, he should be ready to roll for 2021. We'll monitor his rehab.

The Cowboys announced that QB Dak Prescott suffered a right ankle compound fracture and dislocation in Sunday's game against the Giants. He'll have surgery on Sunday night and is likely done for the 2020 season. We should get confirmation tomorrow. Dallas will now turn to QB Andy Dalton, who completed 9 of 11 passes for 111 yards in leading Dallas to a comeback win today.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott appeared to dislocate his right ankle in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game against the Giants. He's obviously done for the day. We'll look for confirmation on the injury and a timeline for Prescott's return -- but expect this to be a lengthy absence. QB Andy Dalton is Dallas' backup and will be worth a look in fantasy thanks to his loaded group of pass-catchers.

Falcons S Damontae Kazee left in the 2nd quarter of Monday night's game at Green Bay after injuring his left Achilles' tendon. He was quickly ruled out for the game after leaving on a cart. This looks like a season-ender. We'll watch for confirmation. Kazee's injury left Atlanta without its top 3 safeties against the Packers. Keanu Neal (hamstring) and Ricardo Allen (elbow) were inactive for the game.

The Falcons have ruled S Keanu Neal out (hamstring) for Monday night's game at Green Bay. Atlanta will also be without S Ricardo Allen (elbow), leaving Damontae Kazee as the only active safety among the Falcons' top 3. That can only hurt a defense that has already been weak, further enhancing the matchup for the Packers passing game.

Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence (knee) is active for today’s game against the Seahawks. He saw his playing time limited last week by injury, though, and then saw limited practice participation this week. Try to avoid using Lawrence in IDP lineups if you can help it.
