J.J. McCarthy Ready For Week 9

Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (ankle) put in a full week of practice and is off the final injury report. He’ll start Sunday’s game vs. the Lions. McCarthy played well in one of eight quarters to open the season. We’ll see if he can get rolling coming off the extended absence, but he can’t be trusted as more than a low-end QB2 in fantasy lineups. McCarthy also adds a bit more downside to WRs Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.

Jordan Addison Ready For Week 4

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 4 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. Addison still carries some added risk coming off a multi-week ankle injury, but he lands in low-end WR3 territory in the Week 4 Rankings.

        Jordan Addison Still Out Thursday

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) did not practice on Thursday. He's looking unlikely to play vs. the Texans this weekend. We'll let you know how Addison is listed on the final injury report on Friday afternoon.

        Jordan Addison Sidelined Wednesday

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. HC Kevin O'Connell wouldn't rule Addison out for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers on Monday, which at least suggests he avoided a serious injury. But fantasy owners should not be counting on Addison in Week 2 fantasy lineups.

Jordan Addison Departs With Ankle Injury

Vikings WR Jordan Addison is out for the rest of Week 1 with an ankle injury. As beat writer Ben Goessling noted on X, Addison suffered a high-ankle sprain just last month. He tallied 3 catches for 35 yards before departing.

Jordan Addison Ready For Week 1

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) is not listed on the final Week 1 injury report. He was a full participant in Friday's practice. It all suggests that he'll be close to or at 100% for Sunday's opener vs. the Giants. That's good news for a Vikings offense that will be without TE T.J. Hockenson. Addison should see solid volume and is in the WR3 mix in this plus matchup. WR Jalen Nailor (ankle) is also off the final injury report.

        Jordan Addison Limited Wednesday

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. He's working back from an August 14 ankle injury and just returned to the field a couple of days ago.

Jordan Addison on Crutches and in a Walking Boot, but Ankle Injury Not Serious

Vikings WR Jordan Addison appears to have sustained only a very mild ankle injury in Wednesday's practice. "I think he's going to be OK," HC Kevin O'Connell said afterward, according to Matthew Coller of Purple Insider. O'Connell added that the WR likely won't practice Thursday. We'll certainly watch for further confirmation on Addison's status, but it doesn't sound like you should adjust your fantasy expectations for him at all.

Jordan Addison Leaves with Apparent Leg Injury

Vikings WR Jordan Addison left the field on a cart Wednesday after suffering an apparent leg injury, according to Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. It's too early to know the specifics of Addison's injury, but Kevin O’Connell doesn’t believe it is serious. And leaving on a cart doesn't necessarily indicate something serious. Addison reportedly made it off the field before riding the cart.

T.J. Hockenson has no timetable for return

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson admitted recently that he has no timetable for return from last year's multi-ligament knee injury. Hockenson tore his right MCL and ACL on December 24. The MCL injury delayed the ACL surgery until January 29, pushing back Hockenson's timeline. He'll be just a little over seven months removed from surgery come Week 1.

        Jordan Addison active

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) is active for tonight’s game vs. the Packers. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported this morning that the team originally believed Addison would miss multiple weeks with this injury and that he’ll need to be monitored throughout this game. The rookie is a risky fantasy play.

Jordan Addison to be monitored throughout Week 17

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) will need to be monitored throughout tonight's game vs. the Packers, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. Addison was originally expected to miss multiple weeks with his ankle injury, Glazer adds. The rookie obviously comes with elevated risk in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

Jordan Addison back at practice Thursday

Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly gives him a chance to play vs. the Packers on Sunday night. We'll see what Addision does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Jordan Addison "week-to-week" with ankle injury

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport labeled Vikings WR Jordan Addison "week-to-week" with the ankle injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to the Vikings. The rookie is scheduled for additional testing on Monday. It's worth noting that HC Kevin O'Connell said after yesterday's game that Addison might be able to push through this injury. But, at least for now, fantasy owners should plan on being without Addison in Week 17 lineups.

Kirk Cousins feared to have torn Achilles

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins is feared to have torn his Achilles in Sunday's win over the Packers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's typically easy for doctors to diagnose a torn Achilles without any imaging. We should get confirmation tomorrow, but Cousins' 2023 season is very likely over. His absence would leave Minnesota with QBs Jaren Hall and Sean Mannion. QB Nick Mullens is currently on IR with a back injury but is eligible to return. Regardless, Cousins' injury is horrible news for Minnesota's skill-position players.
