Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice. New Orleans Football's Nick Underhill reports that Kamara hurt the ankle in the first half of last week's game and was still dealing with some soreness today. It "isn’t anything serious," Underhill adds. "He’ll be day-to-day this week." It sounds like Kamara will be available for Sunday's game against the Patriots, but the ankle adds more risk to a player who's already trending down. RB Kendre Miller should be rostered in virtually all fantasy leagues at this point.

Saints RB Devin Neal will miss "a couple weeks" with a hamstring injury, per HC Kellen Moore. Neal, a Round 6 rookie, was in a battle for the No. 2 RB job behind Alvin Kamara. His absence raises the late-round appeal of Kendre Miller, who'll still have to beat out Clyde Edwards-Helaire and others for the handcuff role.

The Saints have ruled RB Alvin Kamara out for Monday night's game against the Packers because of his groin injury. That comes as no surprise and aligns with what HC Darren Rizzi indicated earlier this week.

Kamara had an MRI after the game, which evidently revealed a relatively minor injury. He has an extra day to get ready for next Monday night's game vs. the Packers. Saints RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers. He didn’t practice all week and has no timetable for return from his latest hamstring injury. New Orleans will also be without RB Jamaal Williams, who's listed as doubtful with a groin injury. The Saints figure to elevate Jordan Mims from the practice squad to serve as the No. 2 RB, but Taysom Hill might be the favorite to finish second on the team in carries.

Saints RB Kendre Miller was knocked out of Sunday's game vs. the Chargers with a hamstring injury. It's unclear if this is the same hamstring that cost him all of August and the first six games of the season. Miller had already emerged as New Orleans' No. 2 RB, but he simply has not been able to stay healthy since arriving in Round 3 of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Williams caught all three of his targets but totaled only 8 yards. Williams closes out a season that saw him fall well short of his previous career lows in yards per carry, yards per catch, and rushing success rate -- among other categories. He has two more years on his contract, with 2024 likely locked in because of the potential dead money if New Orleans were to dump him. But Miller looks like the higher-upside player and could simply pass Williams on the depth chart this offseason. Miller endured a quiet rookie campaign thanks to a series of injuries. But that could make him a dynasty "buy" this offseason. Don't be afraid to price-check the 2023 third-round NFL Draft pick. And keep Miller in mind as a potential later-round value in early 2024 best ball drafting.

Saints RB Kendre Miller suffered an ankle injury in the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Bears. He was operating as the No. 2 RB before exiting, taking one carry for no gain and catching his only target for 31 yards. We'll update Miller's status when we learn more.

Saints HC Dennis Allen said Monday that he wants to balance out the backfield work a bit more going forward. RB Alvin Kamara racked up 17 carries and 14 targets in the Thursday night loss to the Saints, while RB Jamaal Williams finished with five carries and RB Kendre Miller none. Allen said that Williams was on a snap count in his first game back from a hamstring injury and that Miller had shoulder irritation pre-game. Any work those guys take from Kamara figures to come on the ground. Kamara should continue to dominate passing-game work.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says the Saints will activate RB Jamaal Williams from IR and play him tonight against the Jaguars. Williams missed the past four games with a hamstring injury. This will mark the first time this year that he and Alvin Kamara are active together. What that means for their work shares remains to be seen. Saints RB Jamaal Williams (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. the Jaguars. He was limited in practice this week after going down with a hamstring injury back in Week 2. We'll see if Williams is able to play tomorrow, but he shouldn't be in fantasy lineups.
