ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Colts WR Parris Campbell suffered a PCL injury in Sunday's win over the Vikings and will be out "indefinitely." That sounds like it'll land Campbell on IR for some amount of time. That'll elevate the playing time for WR Zach Pascal, who jumped from 62% snap share in Week 1 to 81% in Week 2. It could also increase the opportunities for RB Nyheim Hines and the TEs in the short-to-intermediate range. Campbell looks droppable in fantasy football leagues of little-to-moderate depth.
Update: Jim Ayello of the Indianapolis Star reports that a source says it's actually an MCL injury for Campbell and that there's a "low percentage" chance that he returns this season. Take Campbell out of your 2020 plans for now.
Further update: NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Campbell sprained both the MCL and PCL, adding: "No clear timetable yet, but it'll be a while."
Colts WR Parris Campbell suffered a left knee injury in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game against the Vikings. He was in obvious pain and had to be carted off. We'll pass along an update when we get one.
Colts WR Parris Campbell has cleared the league's concussion protocol and is a "full go" for Week 1, according to Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star. That should return Campbell to a top-3 WR spot for an Indy offense that has dealt with injuries to its top 2 TEs during camp. Campbell carries plenty of upside into the 2020 season at a late-round price.
Colts WR Parris Campbell has gotten off to a good start in camp. "Yeah, he looks strong, fast, smart, explosive, good hands, understands the offense, consistent," HC Frank Reich said. "I mean, it's early but that's what we are looking for from him. Now we just need that to continue to build." Andrew Walker of the team's official site notes that Campbell has been running primarily out of the slot and has been a favorite target of QB Philip Rivers so far. Campbell's rookie season was ruined by injuries, but it looks like he's in line to play a significant role in Indy's passing game this year.
Colts WR Parris Campbell has been placed on the IR after breaking his foot in Sunday's loss to the Colts. It ends a rookie season that also saw Campbell deal with hamstring, hernia and hand injuries. We'll track his rehab this offseason. The Colts are down to WRs Zach Pascal, Marcus Johnson and Ashton Dulin.
Colts WR Parris Campbell fractured his hand in Sunday's loss to the Steelers, HC Frank Reich said. The rookie will undergo surgery and "miss some time," Reich said. The team is hoping not to place him on IR, but Campbell figures to miss multiple weeks. It's unfortunate timing as he was in line to assume a bigger role with T.Y. Hilton out with his calf injury. The Colts are now down to Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers and Deon Cain as their healthy WRs. We'll see if Devin Funchess is ready to return from his broken collarbone.
The Colts ended up listing WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) as doubtful on the final Week 4 injury report. So it looks like he'll be held out of Sunday's game against the Raiders. That leaves Deon Cain, Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal and Chester Rogers as Indy's top 4 WRs. Cain led the group in snaps last week and is the best fantasy bet. But you should avoid this situation outside of DFS tournaments.
Colts WR Devin Funchess suffered a broken collarbone in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Funchess is likely heading for surgery. Expect the wideout to miss at least half the season. His injury will leave more available for fellow WRs Deon Cain and Parris Campbell.
Colts WR Parris Campbell missed his 6th straight practice on Tuesday with a hamstring injury. The rookie was lighting up training camp early but needs to get back on the field if he wants to win a significant early-season role. We'll keep an eye on him. Campbell is still worth a look at his 12th-round ADP.
