WR Josh Gordon has been reinstated by the NFL and is eligible to play as early as Week 4, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Gordon is 30 now and hasn't played since December 2019. We'll see if a team takes a shot on him but wouldn't bother adding Gordon to fantasy rosters right now.
Chiefs WR Josh Gordon has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. It makes him eligible to play vs. the Bills on Sunday night -- but doesn't guarantee that he will. Gordon shouldn't be in Week 5 fantasy lineups regardless, but he's a fine stash in deeper leagues. He's reportedly impressed since joining the team a week ago.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that Chiefs WR Josh Gordon impressed in his 1st week with the team and could be promoted to the active roster next week. "He was described looking like a No. 1 receiver, 230 pounds and fast," Rapoport writes. "One source said you would never know he's 30. He has really flashed in practice." It's an encouraging report on a guy who hasn't played in an NFL game since December 2019. We'll continue to keep a close eye on Gordon but would still only be stashing him in fantasy leagues of 12+ teams.
WR Josh Gordon is planning to sign with the Chiefs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's bullish news for Gordon because of the landing spot, of course -- but also because he signed just a few days after being reinstated. That suggests there was plenty of interest in the 30-year-old. Gordon hasn't played since December 2019, so he's a total wild card. But this landing spot makes him worth a potential stash at least in deeper fantasy leagues.
Update: Gordon is being signed to Kansas City's practice squad for now, "with the goal of elevating him at some point when he gets up to speed," per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The NFL is reinstating Seahawks WR Josh Gordon, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reports. Glazer adds that Gordon will be eligible to play in the final 2 games of the season, so it sounds like it's not an immediate reinstatement. The timing means that you can continue to ignore Gordon in redraft leagues. Perhaps he'll make an impact in the playoffs for Seattle.
The Seahawks have re-signed WR Josh Gordon. The 29-year-old played 5 games for Seattle last year, tallying just 7 catches on 11 targets for 139 yards. He didn't catch more than 2 balls in any of those 5 outings. Gordon is still waiting to hear back from the league on his application for reinstatement, so it's unclear when he'll actually be available. We'll also need to see how the back of the Seahawks' WR depth chart shakes out between Gordon, Phillip Dorsett and Paul Richardson -- but none will be a viable fantasy option without an injury to Tyler Lockett or D.K. Metcalf.
