Brown expected back for Week 4

Bucs WR Antonio Brown was activated from the COVID list and is expected back for Sunday night’s game vs. the Patriots. Brown should pick up some extra work in that one with TE Rob Gronkowski unlikely to play.

Free agent WR Antonio Brown said he won’t play in the upcoming season. “Obviously, we live the game, but you can’t play forever,” Brown said. “I think I’m a great player that’s done everything in the game.” There’s always a chance he changes his mind. But given his character concerns and a likely lack of suitors, AB’s safe to avoid in summer drafts.

Brown added that he's expected to make a full recovery from the ankle injury and is "looking forward to next season." We'll see if another team takes a shot on him.

Bucs HC Bruce Arians said after Sunday's win over the Jets that WR Antonio Brown's time with the Bucs is over. That's not a surprise after Brown removed his jersey and left the field in the middle of the 3rd quarter. But it's still a massive loss for a Bucs offense that is also without WR Chris Godwin for the rest of the season. That leaves Breshad Perriman, Cyril Grayson and Tyler Johnson as the top WRs behind Mike Evans. Evans and TE Rob Gronkowski should be the focal points of the passing game in Week 18 and the playoffs.

But Brown reportedly felt good enough in a Saturday workout to give it a go today. He’s a risk/reward fantasy play at less than 100% in an excellent matchup.
