Steelers WR James Washington (groin) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. It was his 1st work since hurting that groin in last Thursday's practice. We'll see if he's ready for Sunday night's game vs. the Seahawks. A healthy Washington is the favorite to replace JuJu Smith-Schuster in 3-WR sets.
The Cowboys waived WR James Washington. A broken right foot suffered on August 1 kept Washington out until Week 14. He ended up going catchless on 15 offensive snaps over the last 4 games, quickly getting passed on the depth chart by WR T.Y. Hilton. Dallas will head into the playoff with CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Noah Brown and Hilton as its top 4 WRs.
Cowboys WR James Washington (foot) is "ready to go" for this weekend's game vs. the Texans, HC Mike McCarthy said Friday. Washington has been out since breaking his right foot in training camp on August 1. He's certainly not a Week 14 fantasy option -- and likely won't be the rest of the season. But we'll keep an eye on his usage.
The Cowboys placed WR James Washington (foot) on IR, knocking him out for at least the first 4 games of the season. With WR Michael Gallup (knee) unlikely to be ready for Week 1, Dallas will roll out CeeDee Lamb, Noah Brown and Jalen Tolbert as its top 3 WRs.
ESPN's Todd Archer reports that Cowboys WR James Washington broke his right foot in Monday's practice. He'll undergo surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for 6-10 weeks, per Archer. It sounds like this is a Jones Fracture, which is a fracture of the bone on the pinky toe side of the foot. That's the injury that cost Titans RB Derrick Henry nearly 3 months last year, so 6-10 weeks might be on the optimistic side. Regardless, Washington isn't worth a spot on redraft rosters -- and we wouldn't even bother with him in best ball. With WR Michael Gallup (ACL) also not expected to be ready for the start of the season, rookie WR Jalen Tolbert has a huge opportunity to capture a significant early-season role.
Cowboys WR James Washington was carted off the practice field on Monday with an apparent right leg injury. We'll pass along an update when we get one, but it'd probably be wise to hold off on drafting Washington in the meantime. A significant injury would open the door wide open for rookie WR Jalen Tolbert to claim a Week 1 starting job.
