Broncos WR Tim Patrick has been placed on the COVID list. He'll likely miss Sunday's game vs. the Chargers. Patrick has averaged 5 targets per game this season, so his absence leaves some extra volume for Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant. It'd still be tough to trust any of those guys in Week 17 fantasy lineups.
Broncos WR Tim Patrick tore his right ACL in Tuesday's practice, insider Mike Klis reports. Patrick will miss the entire 2022 season. The timing of the injury at least gives Patrick a good chance to be ready for the start of the 2023 campaign. He signed a 3-year, $34 million extension last November. We had Patrick projected for 85 targets, so this opens up a lot of potential volume for Denver's other pass catchers. WR Jerry Jeudy, WR Courtland Sutton, TE Albert Okwuegbunam and TE Greg Dulcich all get boosts in the rankings. But the biggest winner is WR K.J. Hamler, who has a clear path to the #3 job if he can make it back from last September's torn ACL and dislocated hip.

Patrick has remained a key cog in Denver's passing game even since WR Jerry Jeudy returned. So his absence on Sunday would be a boost to Jeudy and WR Courtland Sutton's outlooks.
Restricted free-agent WR Tim Patrick has been assigned a 2nd-round tender by the Broncos. That makes it a virtual lock that he'll be back in Denver this season. Patrick is coming off a career-best 51-742-6 line, but his 2021 role is up in the air with Courtland Sutton returning alongside 2nd-year wideouts Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler.
