49ers sign Mack to practice squad

The 49ers signed RB Marlon Mack to their practice squad. San Francisco, of course, will be without RB Elijah Mitchell (knee) for the next couple of months. Mack couldn't make the Texans' roster, though, and is unlikely to be a factor with the 'Niners.

Broncos RB Marlon Mack will miss Sunday's finale vs. the Chargers with the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 17, according to insider Mike Klis. That'll leave Denver's backfield to Latavius Murray and Chase Edmonds. Murray tallied 12 carries and 6 targets to Edmonds' 7 carries and 3 targets in last week's loss to the Chiefs.

Broncos RB Marlon Mack hurt his hamstring in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Chiefs and is questionable to return. His absence leaves Denver's backfield to Latavius Murray and Chase Edmonds.

The move suggests that RB Mike Boone will miss at least Sunday's game vs. Jacksonville with his ankle injury. Don't expect Mack to see much action, though, behind RBs Melvin Gordon and Latavius Murray.

He's only worth stashing in deep fantasy leagues.
