We're seeing somewhat conflicting reports this morning on the status of Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett. ESPN's Adam Schefter says he's expected to play through his "questionable" designation for hamstring and rib injuries. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says there's "optimism" that he'll play but calls Lockett a game-time decision. It seems we should expect to have Lockett available for fantasy football lineups, but try to have an insurance option on standby.

After a quiet opener, Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett exploded for eight catches, 59 yards, and two TDs in the Week 2 overtime win over the Lions. He scored on a crosser from three yards out in the fourth quarter and then from 6 yards out on a catch and run to win it in overtime. Lockett worked near the line of scrimmage and averaged just 7.4 yards per catch -- likely part of Seattle's game plan without both starting offensive tackles. His 10 targets led the team and were 24.4% of the team total. This was an important bounce back from the Seahawks offense after the Week 1 dud. With upcoming matchups vs. the Panthers and Giants, Lockett is back to solid WR2 status.

Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett finished 16th among WRs in PPR points per game last season -- his fifth straight top-25 finish. Lockett will turn 31 in September but has shown no signs of decline. He ranked 20th among 80 qualifying WRs in yards per target, yards per route, and Pro Football Focus receiving grade last year. And he beat 25-year-old teammate D.K. Metcalf in all three metrics. Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (shin) practiced in a limited fashion on Thursday and doesn't carry an injury designation for Saturday's Wild Card game vs. the 49ers. As stingy as the 49ers' run defense is, they're considerably friendlier to pass-catchers. In 2 games against the 49ers this year, Lockett logged 9-107 and 7-68 on 20 total targets. Considering past success and the fact that the 49ers are the 6th-best matchup for WRs in adjusted fantasy points allowed this season, the veteran wideout is in an excellent spot to perform this weekend.
