Bears RB Khalil Herbert played less than half of David Montgomery's snaps in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. But he beat the starter by 1 carry and crushed him in rushing production. Herbert took 16 carries for 99 yards and a TD (6.2 yards per rush). Montgomery carried 15 times for 53 yards (3.5). Montgomery did dominate the backfield receiving work, catching all 3 targets for 22 yards. Herbert went without a target. That's 2 straight weeks for Herbert running close to Montgomery in touches, both productive weeks for the offense. It appears we should bet on the elevated role continuing for Herbert, who looks like at least a RB3 even with Montgomery in the lineup.
Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back, personal) is active for today’s game vs. the Packers. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and then sidelined on Friday – although it’s unclear if the back or personal issue kept him out. RB D’Onta Foreman is a healthy scratch again today, suggesting little concern about Herbert’s status.
Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back, personal) is expected to play vs. the Packers today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Herbert was added to the injury report on Thursday and then sidelined on Friday, so he comes with elevated risk in Week 18 fantasy lineups. We'll see whether RB D'Onta Foreman is active for this one after missing the last two games.
Bears RB Khalil Herbert (back, personal) is questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Packers. He was added to the injury report on Thursday and then sidelined on Friday. Herbert’s absence would presumably leave Chicago’s backfield to Roschon Johnson and D’Onta Foreman, who has not played the past two weeks.
On Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted that Bears RB Khalil Herbert has been officially activated off IR ahead of Week 11 vs. the Lions. Herbert's return to action will mark his first game back since injuring his ankle in Week 5 vs. the Commanders. This news lowers the fantasy upside of fellow RBs D'Onta Foreman and Roschon Johnson as we expect the Bears' backfield to be deployed in more of a committee approach. See where each player appears in our current RB rankings for Week 11.
Bears RB Khalil Herbert (ankle, shin) is not listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He got in full practices on Thursday and Friday and will play vs. the Lions this weekend for the first time since Week 5. RB D'Onta Foreman (ankle) is listed as questionable for that one after a limited week of practice. We're betting on Foreman playing, but it sure looks like Herbert is the healthier player right now. That makes him the preferred fantasy start in this backfield, although neither guy is an exciting play vs. Detroit's eighth-ranked RB defense.
