Eagles TE Dallas Goedert told reporters on Wednesday that his recovery from his shoulder injury is going well and that he hopes to be ready to return when first eligible in Week 15, according to NBC Philadelphia's Dave Zangaro. If you kept Goedert stashed over the past 2 weeks, keep stashing. And if he was dropped in your fantasy league, he might be worth grabbing now.
A week after TE Dallas Goedert went catch-less on one target, the Eagles clearly made it a point to get him going in Thursday night's game vs. the Vikings. Goedert finished with a team-high seven targets on 23 Jalen Hurts passes -- good for a 30.4% target share. Unfortunately, he managed just 22 scoreless yards on six catches. Goedert's grabs all came near the line of scrimmage, and he wasn't able to pick up much after the catch. It's been an underwhelming start to the season for Goedert and Philly's passing game in general. But we expect the passing game to get rolling. And Goedert remains a big part of it, registering elite 90% and 87% route rates in these first two games. He remains a top-six fantasy TE and is a nice buy-low candidate on the trade market.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert drew just 1 target in Sunday's win over the Patriots and went catchless. Philly's limited receiving production (170 yards) primarily went to WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Brown caught 7 of 10 targets for 79 yards. Smith added a 7-47-1 line on 10 targets. RB Kenneth Gainwell was the only other Eagle to draw more than 2 looks. Goedert and the Eagles face a much softer Vikings defense in Week 2. Expect to see the Eagles TE still among our top 12 for Week 2.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert enters year six looking to play a full season for the first time since 2018. Goedert missed five games with a small fracture in his shoulder last year. Still, he remained a big part of Philly’s passing game. Including the playoffs, he posted a 19.9% target share that only five TEs beat. He finished TE5 in fantasy points per game. While he remains the No. 3 target in a low-volume pass offense, Goedert’s proven highly efficient throughout his career. In fact, he paces all pass catchers in yards per target (10.6) over the past two seasons. The Eagles lost OC Shane Steichen to the Colts, but this unit shouldn’t change much following the promotion of QB coach Brian Johnson. Goedert, 28, profiles as a mid-level fantasy starter in our TE rankings.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (shoulder) is officially active for today’s game vs. the Cowboys. It’ll be his first action since going down in Week 10. Goedert has been practicing for a couple of weeks, though, and we’re expecting him to play his usual role today.
The Eagles have activated TE Dallas Goedert from IR, putting him on track to play Sunday against the Cowboys. He returned to practice last week after sitting out since a Week 10 shoulder injury but didn't make it onto the roster ahead of the win at Chicago. We have projected Goedert in starter range in our Week 16 fantasy football rankings. We're all still waiting to see, of course, whether Jalen Hurts (shoulder) or Gardner Minshew will be throwing him passes.
