49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo broke his left foot in the win over Miami and will miss the rest of the season, HC Kyle Shanahan said afterward. It's a significant loss for a 'Niners squad that already lost QB Trey Lance. That leaves the starting job to QB Brock Purdy, who played surprisingly well against the Dolphins, completing 25 of 37 passes for 210 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. Purdy will only be a fantasy option in 2-QB and Superflex leagues. But he seems capable of keeping this offense afloat the rest of the way.

The Pittsburgh pass run was able to get after Garoppolo early and often, racking up 4 sacks in the contest. However, he was able to sync up nicely with WRs Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. That's certainly a positive to hold onto. Fantasy managers should hope for a better performance with fewer turnovers in Week 4 vs. the Chargers.
