He is not at more of a risk of tearing his Achilles, but from my understanding, he's likely to be out six weeks or potentially more."

The news just keeps getting worse for McCaffrey. The six-week timeline would have him back for Week 8. The 49ers have a Week 9 bye, though, so it might make sense to hold CMC out until Week 10.

There's not much for McCaffrey owners to do at this point. He's worth keeping stashed in all leagues, but you'll need to figure out how to stay afloat without him for the first half of the season.
