Tyler Warren Busy in Early Workouts

Colts TE Tyler Warren reportedly impressed in his first set of team workouts, immediately taking on a significant offensive role.

        What They're Saying

ESPN's Stephen Holder: "It was practically impossible to watch an Indianapolis practice and not notice how often Warren touched the football. Any doubts about him having a notable role were erased in the first week of OTAs, when he could be seen running drag routes or matching up with linebackers in the middle of the field."

QB Daniel Jones: "I think he's had a great spring. He's made a lot of plays for us out here, and you can see his feel, his instincts, his strength, just his ability to go up and catch the ball."

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

It's no surprise to hear that Indy got Warren immediately involved. If anything, the early usage confirms what the team made pretty clear by drafting him 14th overall: The Colts like him and have big plans.

We'll see, of course, exactly what that means in terms of target share. And we'll see who's throwing passes come Week 1.

Warren is bound to easily lead Colts TEs in receiving work. The team had the fewest TE receptions in the league last year (39). But Warren will also compete or targets with established WRs Michael Pittman and Josh Downs. And the overall passing volume could differ quite a bit depending on who plays QB.

Jones has had the field to himself in June, with Anthony Richardson resting his right shoulder. But the young incumbent says he's ready for training camp.

        This'll be interesting.
