Rashee Rice's Groin Injury Not a Concern

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice missed practice yesterday with a groin injury. HC Andy Reid indicated that it is a minor injury and Rice currently remains out of practice as a precaution. With a possible suspension looming, injury at least doesn't look like it will affect Rice into the season.

        What They're Saying

Nate Taylor of ESPN: "The reason why Rashee Rice didn't practice today -- which was mostly held indoors & without fans -- is because he has a groin injury, per the team."

Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride: "Andy Reid confirmed Rashee Rice’s groin issue is considered minor, said they’re holding him out as a precaution."

        2025 Fantasy Football Impact

This is the time of year where players get held out of practice to ensure there is no further injury.

Groin injuries can be tricky, and there seem to be a lot this year around the NFL. Keep an eye on practice reports and Rice's Week 1 practice participation as well.

Of course, a suspension could be looming for Rice sooner rather than later as a result of his two felony guilty pleas from last month.
