I’m not chasing the perfect 2027 ordering of players (yet). I’m trying to help you learn where the strengths of that class will be, so you can get ahead of your league mates and score a star WR (or some other elite performer).

The goal this far out isn't pure accuracy, though. I want to help you get you familiar with players, traits, and potential draft capital. Why? Because that can help you get ahead of your league mates in either buying or selling rookie picks.

The draft order used reflects the Super Bowl betting odds at the time of publishing. 

Round 1

1) Arizona Cardinals: Arch Manning, QB, Texas

Manning showcased his NFL upside in the second half of last season. He will need a repeat for an entire season to be worth the top pick in the 2027 draft, but Manning's rushing upside would make him a top rookie pick in Superflex leagues.

2) Miami Dolphins: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State

The Dolphins could certainly go QB (or charge a ransom to move up to this pick). But if Malik Willis plays well, they are in position to grab an actual generational WR in Jeremiah Smith. I comp Smith to Julio Jones and he should have a similar type of fantasy career. 

3) New York Jets: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon

Moore went back to school and avoided going to the Jets at second overall in 2026. The Jets should be in a better position in 2027 with three first round picks (which they can use to move up for a QB if needed). Moore's accuracy and technique should make him an instant starter with passing upside along with the Jets new first round weapons in Kenyon Sadiq and Omar Cooper Jr. 

4) Cleveland Browns: Colin Simmons, Edge, Texas

Simmons showed elite pass rush ability over the last two seasons. He and Jared Verse present a long term pass rush duo to help get the Browns defense back to top tier levels.

5) Tennessee Titans: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame

The Titans don't have many glaring holes, but an elite shutdown CB like Moore makes sense at this point.

6) Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas

The Raiders have the worst WR group in the league, by far. Coleman stands a bit raw, but his elite athleticism and body control can make him a future No. 1 WR in the NFL.

7) Atlanta Falcons: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

The Tua/Penix experiment likely won't work out for new HC Kevin Stefanski. That could lead to drafting a new QB.

Sellers certainly hasn't proven himself to be a top-10 talent, but his athleticism, size and arm strength all point to upside if the situation is right. He could ascend like Anthony Richardson...but with actual starting college experience.

8) New Orleans Saints: Dylan Stewart, Edge, South Carolina

The Saints didn't address their pass rush in the 2026 draft, but it still needs work. Stewart sits with Simmons as an elite edge talent that could push into the top five.

9) Pittsburgh Steelers: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State

Sayin will be a controversial prospect. He certainly is propped up by his offense with WR Jeremiah Smith as his main target. But, his weak arm strength and lack of highlight throws makes him a tough sell. Even so, his accuracy and ability to work within a system fits well with HC Mike McCarthy and could make him the Steelers QB of the future.

10) Carolina Panthers: Trey'Dez Green, TE, LSU

Green offers elite athletic and pass catching upside to continue the progression of QB Bryce Young. He isn't quite on the level of Kyle Pitts and Colston Loveland as prospects, but Green could be a top-10 fantasy TE in the right system.

11) New York Giants: Bryant Wesco, WR, Clemson

The Giants saw what happens when your star WR gets hurt. Their lack of depth needs addressing and Wesco offers a great compliment to Nabers. Wesco can work downfield but has enough explosiveness to win on slants and other routes in the middle of the field too.

12) Washington Commanders: Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana

The Commanders need to continue supporting Jayden Daniels with young weapons, and Becker would fit as an every down starter outside. Becker offers good power to beat the press with the body control to make tough catches. He may not be the volume hog to be a top PPR producer, but Becker could win in fantasy with TDs.

13) New York Jets (from Colts): Koi Perich, S, Oregon

The Jets have three first round picks and could continue adding to the back end of their defense. Perich offers a versatile FS option who can make big plays on the ball, but also lays the lumber against the run. He could help cement a rising Jets secondary.

14) Minnesota Vikings: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas

The Vikings could lose multiple O-linemen to free agency this offseason. Goosby would help soften the blow with his versatility to play LT or RT.

15) Jacksonville Jaguars: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State

Jones could compete to be the top CB off the board. His elite press ability makes him intriguing to go up against top NFL WRs. Jones still has the recovery speed and athleticism to match up in man coverage as well.

16) New York Jets (from Cowboys): Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson

Brown was the leader of the Clemson defense as an 18-year old freshman. He could offer similar upside to replace MLB DeMario Davis soon.

17) Cincinnati Bengals: KJ Bolden, S, Georgia

Bolden can play a versatile role on the Bengals defense to help against the run and improve coverage against TEs and slot WRs.

18) Dallas Cowboys (from Packers): Jordan Seaton, OT, LSU

Seaton offers athletic upside with a smooth kickslide that is tough to get around off the snap. Seaton could plug into RT for the Cowboys.

19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

Carr's easy schedule sets him up to be a potential first round pick. He moves well in the pocket with precise decisions, rarely making a mistake. The Buccaneers could move on from Baker Mayfield if he doesn't get a new contract, leading to drafting a QB.

20) Chicago Bears: Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss

D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai are fine, but getting a home run hitter in Lacy who could play the Jahmyr Gibbs role would be tremendous to the offense. Lacy offers explosive rushing with good hands as a potential top-12 fantasy RB down the line.

21) Houston Texans: Ty Benefield, S, LSU

Benefield could help cement the Texans' strong secondary as a middle fielder who excels in a deep zone.

22) Denver Broncos: Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida

Baugh has been one of the few bright spots for the Gators offense. The Broncos RBs are surprisingly mediocre with JK Dobbins age and health being a concern. RJ Harvey has failed to meet expectations as well. Baugh would pair well with Jonah Coleman giving the team a three-down option.

23) New England Patriots: Iapani Laloulu, iOL, Oregon

The Patriots should continue to strengthen the line in front of Drake May. Laloulu showcases elite play strength and footwork.

24) San Francisco 49ers: Nick Marsh, WR, Indiana

Marsh moved over from Michigan State to Indiana in an attempt to replace Omar Cooper Jr. He has the short area quickness the 49ers like out of their WRs and could play the Deebo role if other young WRs don't work out.

25) Detroit Lions: Matayo Uiagalelei, Edge, Oregon

Uiagalelei was a top recruit who never quite hit his ceiling. Opposite Aidan Hutchinson, he certainly could win on an island to add pass rush.

26) Los Angeles Chargers: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

The Chargers don't have glaring holes, but Robinson could be a potential No. 2 CB who can play the slot or outside.

27) Kansas City Chiefs: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon

Travis Kelce almost surely will retire after this season. Getting an in-line TE who can produce the stick route and improv routes that Kelce did will be key for the Chiefs offense. Johnson fits well and already showed he can be a TD hog in the red zone.

28) Seattle Seahawks: TJ Moore, WR, Clemson

Moore has a massive wingspan and wins at the line with that length. He can win contested catches as an outside WR who plays the boundary well. Moore fits as a great compliment to JSN and Rashid Shaheed.

29) Philadelphia Eagles: Carter Smith, OT, Indiana

The Eagles need to keep strengthening the OL and Smith fits as a polished OT who could even slide inside if needed.

30) Baltimore Ravens: Ryan Coleman-Williams, WR, Alabama

Coleman-Williams profiles similarly to Zay Flowers, but that isn't a bad thing. His elite explosiveness makes him a smooth separator. The Ravens will just have to coach up his drops and lack of concentration to get the potential NFL difference maker inside.

31) Buffalo Bills: Teitum Tuioti, Edge, Oregon

The Bills grabbed TJ Parker last year, but they can keep adding a rotation upfront with Tuioti. He can stop the run on the edge while adding some strong pass rushing.

32) Cleveland Browns (from Rams): Darian Mensah, QB, Miami

The Browns experiment with Deshaun Watson will likely come to an end, and that means finding a QB in this draft. Mensah moved from Duke to Miami with a strong arm and polished footwork. He could ascend to the top of the draft during the process as well.
