The Jaguars and WR Jakobi Meyers agreed to a three-year, $60 million extension with $40 million guaranteed, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It lands Meyers 24th among WRs in average annual salary and keeps him in Jacksonville through the 2028 campaign.
Dynasty Impact
Meyers has been a big part of Jacksonville's ascending passing game. Since arriving via trade prior to Week 10, he's racked up:
- 38 targets
- 27 catches
- 355 yards
- 3 TDs
The targets, catches, and yards all lead the team over that span. Meyers ranks 23rd among WRs in PPR points as a Jaguar.
He'll remain a big part of the offense the rest of this season. And the fresh contract locks Meyers into a significant role beyond that.
We'll see how he fits alongside WRs Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter in what has the potential to be an excellent trio for QB Trevor Lawrence. But there's a good chance that Meyers is, as usual, undervalued in both redraft and dynasty leagues this offseason.
