The Saints signed RB David Johnson to the active roster. He'll help New Orleans replace RB Mark Ingram, who's likely to miss the rest of the season with an MCL injury. We wouldn't bother adding Johnson to fantasy rosters even as an Alvin Kamara handcuff. RB Dwayne Washington is also on the active roster.

Saints RB Mark Ingram suffered a "slight tear" of his MCL in Monday night's loss to the Bucs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Ingram doesn't need surgery but is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks, which likely ends his season. Ingram hasn't been a fantasy option this season, but he's put a slight dent in RB Alvin Kamara's usage. So consider this news a moderate boost to Kamara's rest-of-season outlook.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara rushed 12 times for 26 yards in a Week 13 loss to Tampa Bay. He added 2 catches (on 3 targets) for 11 yards. In a frustrating reality, Kamara was nearly splitting snaps with Mark Ingram going into halftime (13-10). The edge wound up being 35-25 in Kamara’s favor, but the game plan (combined with the matchup) proved too much to overcome. The former RB1 has now been held under 13 PPR points 5 straight. Week 14 turns up a bye, followed by a more favorable draw vs. Atlanta.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara endured another rough outing on the ground in Sunday's loss to the 49ers. He managed only 13 yards on 7 carries, averaging a season-worst 1.9 yards per rush. It was his 4th straight game with 42 yards or less and 5th straight with less than 3.5 yards per carry. Kamara did, at least, add a team-high 6 receptions (on 7 targets) for 37 yards. A Week 13 matchup with the Buccaneers is at least friendlier than the 49ers. Kamara's best remaining spots, though, come after the Week 14 bye.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara endured another lackluster rushing day in Sunday's win over the Rams. His 42 yards on 12 carries came out to just 3.5 per rush. Kamara fared better as a receiver, though, catching 4 balls for 47 yards among 5 targets. His 89 total yards marked an improvement over the previous 2 games. Kamara still hasn't found the end zone, though, outside of his 3-TD game against the Saints in Week 8. A Week 12 matchup with San Francisco doesn't look especially promising for a rebound. David Johnson carried once for a 4-yard loss and caught his lone target for 11 yards in his New Orleans debut.

The Saints signed RB David Johnson to their practice squad, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports. Johnson turns 31 in a month and mustered just 3.4 yards per carry on 67 attempts with the Texans last year. New Orleans is expected to be without RB Mark Ingram for another week or 2, so Johnson might find his way onto the active roster. But he remains well off the fantasy radar.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara managed only 26 yards on 8 carries in Sunday's loss to the Steelers and added just 19 more yards on 3 receptions among 4 targets. His team got dominated in time of possession -- 38:56 to 21:04 -- total plays (79-45) and yards (379-186). A Week 11 matchup with a tough Rams defense doesn't look much friendlier. We'll see whether the Saints change anything on offense in the coming week, as well as where Kamara lands in our Week 11 rankings.

Saints RB Mark Ingram (knee) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Steelers. RB Alvin Kamara posted a season-high 88% snap rate with Ingram out last week.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara's next court date has been pushed back again to January 23. The judge in the case also set a trial date of March 1. It continues to look like any possible Kamara suspension would not come until 2023.

Saints RB Mark Ingram is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with an MCL sprain suffered in Sunday's win over the Raiders, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Ingram's absence leaves Dwayne Washington as New Orleans' #2 RB -- and should mean even more work for RB Alvin Kamara.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara racked up all 3 of his team's TDs in Sunday's shutout win over the Raiders. He scored once on the ground, amid 18 carries for 62 yards. Kamara did more damage as a receiver, though, delivering a 9-96-2 line on a team-high 10 targets. WR Chris Olave caught 5 balls for 52 yards on 7 targets, 2nd most on the team. No other Saint topped 4 looks. New Orleans hosts Baltimore on Monday night, a matchup that has been friendlier for rushing than passing.

Saints RB Mark Ingram is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Raiders with a knee injury. Stay tuned for an update. RB Alvin Kamara should pick up more touches with Ingram out.

Saints HC Dennis Allen said Wednesday that he's sticking with QB Andy Dalton as his starter. "Jameis [Winston] is back healthy right now. We're going to go with Andy as we sit here right now," Allen said. "If we continue to play well offensively and move the ball offensively, Andy will stay in there." The Saints are 1-3 under Dalton, but they're averaged 31 points per game. It's been a run-leaning offense, with Dalton averaging just 32.8 pass attempts per game. He ranks 16th among QBs in fantasy points per game over the last 4 weeks. Consider this good news for RB Alvin Kamara -- although there's still a solid chance New Orleans goes back to Winston at some point this season.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara posted 7 catches and 105 scoreless yards in a Week 7 loss at Arizona. Kamara has now caught 6+ balls in 3 straight -- each alongside Andy Dalton. However, he's also gone 5 appearances without finding the end zone. On the year, Kamara has only 3 carries inside the 10 compared to 3 for Taysom Hill and 2 for Mark Ingram. The RB11 in PPG, Kamara will look for his first score this week vs. the Raiders.

Saints QB Andy Dalton will start Sunday's game vs. the Bengals, HC Dennis Allen announced Friday. QB Jameis Winston (back, ankle) returned to limited practices this week, so it's unclear if he's not healthy yet or if New Orleans is just sticking with Dalton for now. Dalton is an unexciting QB2 in fantasy lineups, but he's good news for RB Alvin Kamara's target volume.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is active for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable, but Kamara said Wednesday that his injured ribs were feeling better and that he’d play in this one. He has big upside vs. Seattle’s 32nd-ranked RB defense.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is expected to play vs. the Seahawks today. Kamara is listed as questionable but said on Wednesday that he felt much better this week and would play against Seattle. He carries big upside in this plus matchup.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Seahawks. Kamara said Wednesday that his injured ribs were feeling better and that he’d play this weekend. Pencil him into fantasy lineups for now – and check back Sunday at 11:30 am ET to make sure he’s active.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. "Last week was kind of up in the air, didn't go. This week I'm feeling great, healthy, ready to roll," Kamara said. He added that he plans to wear extra protection on those injured ribs. There's elevated risk here with Kamara still not at 100%, but the upside is big in a plus matchup vs. the Seahawks.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ribs) is officially inactive for today's game vs. the Vikings. It's a surprise after he played through this issue last week. Insider Nick Underhill says that Kamara is "looking to get healthy for the long haul." When Kamara missed Week 2, Ingram handled 10 of 16 RB carries and saw 2 targets. He wasn't at 100% for that game, though, and could see a bit more work today. RB Tony Jones is a healthy scratch today, so it's Ingram, Dwayne Washington and Latavius Murray, just called up from the practice squad, in New Orleans' backfield. See where Ingram sits in the Week 4 RB Rankings.
