HC Dan Campbell said Tuesday that St. Brown was dealing with some knee "irritation" coming out of the Week 16 loss to the Steelers. He got in limited practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. "St. Brown seems to be in a good position to play," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Wednesday afternoon. St. Brown can stay penciled into Week 17 fantasy lineups. Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs disappeared against the Rams despite the Lions scoring 34 points in the game. He went 13-38-0 on the ground and 4-20-0 through the air on 7 targets. His 9.8 PPR fantasy points were still more than teammate David Montgomery, who caught no passes in the game. Montgomery scored a TD, going 7-32-1 on the ground. The offense settled into QB Jared Goff’s hands, throwing the ball 41 times in the game.

WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) is also expected to miss Week 14, HC Dan Campbell said. That'll leave Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa, and Tom Kennedy as Detroit's top three WRs, if St. Brown is out.

"St. Brown is not expected to land on IR and likely will be week-to-week," Pelissero adds. Lions HC Dan Campbell said after Thursday's loss to the Packers that he doesn't believe WR Amon-Ra St. Brown's ankle injury is long term. "But that doesn't mean it won't be here for ... a week or two," Campbell said. He added that he'll know more about St. Brown's status on Friday, presumably after further testing. We'll keep you updated on the situation, but it at least sounds like St. Brown will be back before the end of the fantasy season.

Lions HC Dan Campbell said Friday that TE Sam LaPorta had back surgery and that his chances of returning this season are "very, very slim." We'll look for more details on LaPorta's injury and whether it'll impact his 2026, but he can be dropped from all redraft rosters.

The Lions placed TE Sam LaPorta on IR with his back injury. He's out through at least through Week 14, and it's unclear if he'll be ready to return when first eligible in Week 15. We still don't have any details on this back injury. LaPorta is worth trying to hang on to in fantasy leagues, but he's not a must-hold if you need the roster space. TE Brock Wright is next up on Detroit's depth chart but owns just 65 catches in 67 career games. TE Ross Dwelley -- 45 catches in 108 games -- is also on the active roster. TEs Anthony Firkser and Zach Horton are on the practice squad. We wouldn't bother with any of these guys in fantasy right now. Expect most of LaPorta's targets to be spread to WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams and RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
