Saints QB Derek Carr (concussion) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final Week 12 injury report. He’ll start Sunday’s game vs. the Falcons but is only in play in 2-QB and Superflex fantasy leagues.

Saints QB Derek Carr (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Barring a setback, he'll be under center this weekend. Carr sits 19th in our Week 12 QB rankings in a matchup against Atlanta's 29th-ranked QB defense.

Saints QB Derek Carr remains in the concussion protocol. The news comes straight from HC Dennis Allen. New Orleans doesn’t play until Sunday, so there’s time for Carr to get cleared coming off the bye week. For now, though, there’s at least a chance we'll see more of Jameis Winston. He’s a low-dollar speculative add for superflex managers seeking a short-term boost.

Saints HC Dennis Allen said Monday that QB Derek Carr's shoulder "checked out fine." He's in the concussion protocol, but it sounds like he'll be available coming off the Week 11 bye. Allen also said that he's not currently considering a move to QB Jameis Winston. We'll see if that changes during a week of film watching. But, for now, we should assume that it'll be Carr under center vs. the Falcons in Week 12.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Saints QB Derek Carr sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. He calls it a similar injury to Carr's previous shoulder issue and "might actually be" and aggravation of that previous injury. It's still not expected to be serious. And the Week 11 bye seems likely to put Carr on track to miss no further time. Frankly, we can't help but wonder if it would help WR Chris Olave's fantasy outlook if Carr did miss some time. We'll check back in on the New Orleans QB situation after the bye.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweets that Saints QB Derek Carr is "hopeful" to be able to play after the Week 11 bye. He should clear the concussion protocol by then. We'll need to see about the shoulder. We should learn more about that injury on Monday. QB Jameis Winston will start if Carr misses more time and is worth adding in 2-QB and superflex leagues.

Saints QB Derek Carr exited Sunday's game vs. the Vikings after taking a big hit in the third quarter. He was replaced by QB Jameis Winston, who promptly completed three straight passes, capped by a TD to WR Chris Olave. We'll look for an update on Carr -- and see how Winston fares.

Update: Carr has been ruled out with a concussion and right shoulder injury

Saints QB Derek Carr completed 32 of 50 passes for 353 yards with 1 TD and INT apiece in Week 6 vs. the Texans. The veteran is now three weeks removed from injuring the AC joint in his throwing shoulder and threw for 300+ passing yards for the first time since Week 1 vs. the Titans. Despite the road loss, Carr is trending in the right direction toward being a more stable option in 2QB/superflex leagues. He’ll take the field again on Thursday night vs. the Jaguars in Week 7.

Saints QB Derek Carr completed 18 of 26 passes for 183 yards with 2 TDs in Sunday’s huge 34-0 victory over the Patriots. This isn’t the eye-popping production that’ll make fantasy managers excited, but it’s not bad considering Carr is still dealing with a shoulder injury on his throwing arm. We’ll continue to be cautious with him in Week 6 vs. the Texans.

Saints QB Derek Carr (shoulder) is active for today’s game vs. the Patriots. Carr mustered just 3.4 yards per pass attempt playing through this injury last week. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said this morning that Carr is "in a better place health-wise than last week.” But he’d be a risky fantasy play, even in Superflex leagues.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Saints QB Derek Carr (shoulder) will play vs. the Patriots today. Carr remained limited in practice all week after an ugly showing in last week's loss to the Bucs. Carr is "in a better place health-wise than last week," per Rapoport. But we'd want to see him turn in a solid outing before trusting him in any fantasy lineups.

Saints QB Derek Carr (shoulder) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots. Carr played – but not well – through this injury last week, averaging just 3.4 yards per pass attempt. He’s not a recommended starter even in superflex leagues. The shoulder issue adds downside to all of New Orleans’ pass catchers.

Saints QB Derek Carr (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. HC Dennis Allen said he threw a bit more than he did in last week's practices. "Things look good in terms of where he's at this week," Allen added. Carr averaged an ugly 3.4 yards per pass attempt last week, and it's likely the injured throwing shoulder was the culprit. He's not a viable fantasy option until we see him looking much closer to 100%.

Based on footage of pre-game warmups, Saints QB Derek Carr looked healthy ahead of Week 4. Come gametime, though, Carr looked limited by the shoulder injury that made him a game-time decision. The veteran tallied just 127 yards on 23 of 37 passing – an ugly 3.43 yards per attempt – all against a banged up Bucs defense. We’ll keep an eye on Carr’s practice participation ahead of a Week 5 date at New England.

Saints QB Derek Carr (shoulder) is oficially active for today’s game vs. the Bucs. Carr seemingly made good progress throughout the week and did enough to get the green light for this one. Still, he’d be a risky fantasy play just a week after spraining the AC joint in his throwing shoulder.
