Kareem Hunt Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco worked as the clear lead rusher in his second game back from a fibula fracture Sunday night. He rushed 14 times vs. five for Kareem Hunt and one for Samaje Perine. None found much success. Pacheco also led the RBs in targets but saw pass routes split more evenly.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco rushed 7 times for 44 yards in Friday's close win over Las Vegas. Chiefs RBs combined for only 14 carries against a Raiders defense that allowed just one rush of more than 5 yards.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (ankle) was a full-go in practice all week and is not listed on the final injury report. He'll play vs. the Raiders on Friday for the first time since Week 2. It's unclear exactly how touches will be divvied between Pacheco and RB Kareem Hunt. But the backfield should be productive against Vegas' 26th-ranked RB defense.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (ankle) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice. It's his first full practice since his Week 2 injury and puts him on track to play vs. the Raiders on Friday. We'll look for clues on how touches will be divvied between Pacheco and RB Kareem Hunt in that one, but there's tons of fantasy upside in the backfield with the Chiefs 12-point favorites against the 26th-ranked RB defense.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) won't play against the Panthers on Sunday. Pacheco has been back at practice for a couple of weeks now, but Kansas City will hold him out for at least one more game. That'll keep RB Kareem Hunt in a workhorse role in a dream spot with the Chiefs 10.5-point favorites against Carolina's 32nd-ranked RB defense.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid wouldn't say Wednesday whether RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) will play against the Panthers this weekend, calling it a "day by day type thing." Pacheco returned to practice last week, getting in three limited sessions. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday morning that Pacheco will be healthy enough to play Week 12 but that the team could opt to hold him out as a precaution. We'll keep you updated on the situation. Kareem Hunt would be a top-12 RB play if Pacheco remains out this weekend.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) is expected to be healthy enough to play in Week 12. But Rapoport adds, "maybe trainers hold him out just as a precaution." Kansas City gets the Panthers next week -- a game they likely feel like they can handle without Pacheco. We'll keep an eye on the situation this coming week. RB Kareem Hunt has handled big volume lately but is averaging just 3.6 yards per carry. We're expecting Pacheco to eventually take back over as the Chiefs' clear lead RB.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bills. He returned to practice this week for the first time since going down in mid-September and should have a chance to play vs. the Panthers next week. RB Kareem Hunt gets another game as Kansas City’s workhorse this weekend.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Wednesday that RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) is unlikely to play vs. the Bills this weekend. Pacheco will return to practice this week but needs to ramp up after missing the last two months. We're tentatively expecting him back for Week 12's game vs. the Panthers. RB Kareem Hunt gets at least one more week as Kansas City's workhorse.

The Chiefs are planning to designate RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) to return from IR this week, according to insider Jordan Schultz. That means Pacheco will get back on the practice field, although we're still not expecting him to play against the Bills on Sunday coming off a lengthy layoff. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said about a week ago that Pacheco was targeting a late-November return, which would be Week 12 or 13. He seems on track for that. Pacheco might be a risky fantasy start in his first game back, but expect him to quickly re-establish himself as at least a weekly RB2.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (leg) is expected to resume practicing in 2-3 weeks and is targeting a late-November return, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It sounds like Pacheco is most likely to return for the Week 12 game against the Panthers (Nov. 24) or Week 13 against the Raiders (Nov. 29). He might be eased back in during his first game, but we're expecting Pacheco to eventually reclaim clear lead duties in Kansas City's backfield. If you've held onto him this long, keep holding. Pacheco could be a RB1 during the fantasy football playoffs.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Thursday that RB Isiah Pacheco is making "great progress" in his recovery from September's fractured fibula. "He's getting there, but he's doing fantastic," Reid said. "I mean, he's really doing well, but we just, you know, between the trainers and doctors and all that's out of my hands there." It's a vague update -- but the only update we've gotten on Pacheco since the injury. He was expected to miss 6-8 weeks and is now a little more than six weeks into that timeline. Considering he's yet to get back on the practice field, we wouldn't expect to see Pacheco until Week 11 at the earliest. That's a big game against the Bills. If you've held on to Pacheco for this long, keep holding. We expect him to return as Kansas City's clear lead back.

Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt managed just 59 yards and one score on 21 carries in a win over Las Vegas. He's now posted declining yards-per-carry averages in three straight games.

Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt handled 73% of the team's RB rushes in Sunday's win over the 49ers. That gave him 22 attempts for 78 yards (3.5 per carry) and 2 TDs. Hunt also saw increased usage in the passing game. His 53% route share marked a season high and beat Samaje Perine (34.4%) for the second straight game.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is inactive for today’s game vs. the 49ers. He was off the final injury report, so Kansas City is just opting to roll with RBs Kareem Hunt, Carson Steele, and Samaje Perine.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. It’s still unclear if he’ll make his 2024 debut vs. the 49ers on Sunday. Edwards-Helaire should not be in your fantasy plans, but his return would add a bit more risk to RB Kareem Hunt’s Week 7 outlook.

Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt led the backfield with 27 carries for 102 yards and a TD, his highest carry total since 2018. He also hauled in one target for 15 yards.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is listed as doubtful for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He returned to three limited practices this week but isn't yet ready to make his 2024 debut. That'll again leave Kansas City's backfield to Kareem Hunt, Samaje Perine, and Carson Steele. Hunt wound up leading the way last week and is the best Week 5 fantasy bet.

Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been designated to return from the non-football illness list. He missed the first four games of the season dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder related to gun violence in his youth. Fully healthy from a physical standpoint, he's capable of making an immediate contribution to this undermanned Chiefs backfield. We'll see if Edwards-Helaire ends up active for Monday night's game vs. the Saints. He's not a Week 5 fantasy option but is worth a wait-and-see stash in deeper leagues.

The Chiefs elevated RB Kareem Hunt from the practice squad to the active roster. RB Keaontay Ingram was released in a corresponding move
