Kenneth Walker III Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) did not practice on Tuesday. He's seemingly unlikely to play vs. the Cowboys on Thursday night, which would mean another game as feature back for Zach Charbonnet. The rookie played 88% of Seattle's offensive snaps last week and handled 18 of 21 RB opportunities. Our current Week 13 RB Rankings assume Walker is out on Thursday.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet logged 14 carries for just 47 rushing yards and 4 catches for 11 yards against the 49ers on Thursday night. A struggling Seattle offense didn’t help. QB Geno Smith was clearly limited by his right triceps injury. The Seahawks held the ball for just 7:29 of the first half and trailed by 11+ points throughout the second half. Charbonnet’s usage was strong, at least: 87.5% snap rate and 85.7% of RB touches. Unfortunately for him, Ken Walker III (oblique) is expected back soon and the remaining schedule ranks toughest for RBs per our adjusted fantasy points allowed. That includes facing the Cowboys in Week 13 and a rematch against San Francisco the weekend after. Keep your expectations for this backfield in check the rest of the way.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) is inactive for tonight’s game vs. the 49ers. RB Zach Charbonnet should dominate backfield work in this one. RBs DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh are active behind him.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) won't play vs. the 49ers tonight. But Rapoport adds that Walker "does not have a major injury" and "has a chance" to play in Week 13. It sounds like Zach Charbonnet might get just one game as Seattle's feature back. We highlighted the rookie as a potential sell candidate in this week's Fantasy Football Trade Targets, Sells, and Holds.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (oblique) is listed as doubtful for Thursday night's game vs. the 49ers. He didn't practice all week and could certainly miss more time beyond Week 12. Walker's absence should leave RB Zach Charbonnet in a workhorse role. He's a solid RB2 play in fantasy lineups, despite a negative matchup.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that RB Ken Walker's injured oblique is still being evaluated. Carroll at least said that Walker shouldn't need a trip to IR. We'll look for further updates on his status, but Walker is a long shot to play vs. the 49ers on Thursday night. That'll leave rookie Zach Charbonnet as Seattle's lead back. Carroll also said Monday that RB Kenny McIntosh is expected to make his regular-season debut on Thursday. He'll join RB DeeJay Dallas behind Charbonnet.

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet carried 15 times and drew 6 targets in Sunday's loss to the Rams, which saw RB Kenneth Walker leave early with an oblique injury. He turned that into just 47 yards on the ground (3.1 per carry), though, and 22 yards on 6 receptions (3.7 per catch). That's poor production, and not the kind of efficiency that's going to command touches for Charbonnet once Walker returns. Walker seems like a solid bet to miss at least one more game, but we'll watch for updates leading into Week 12. One other factor working against both Seattle RBs is the league's second-worst remaining schedule for RB scoring. Charbonnet is worth a look where available on the waiver wire this week. But don't expect him to become a roster savior.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said after Sunday's loss to the Rams that RB Ken Walker has a “legit” oblique strain. We should learn more about the injury tomorrow, but Walker seems unlikely to be ready for Thursday night’s game vs. the 49ers. That’d leave Zach Charbonnet as Seattle’s lead back.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker suffered an oblique injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Rams and is officially doubtful to return. He's remained on the sidelines without his helmet. Walker's absence leaves Zach Charbonnet as Seattle's lead back and DeeJay Dallas as the No. 2.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (chest) is not listed on the final Week 10 injury report. He was a full-go on Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday’s practice. The chest shouldn’t be a factor in this weekend’s game vs. the Commanders.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (chest) returned to a full practice on Thursday. It doesn't look like the chest issue will be a factor in Sunday's game vs. Washington. We'll check back on Walker's status when Seattle releases its final injury report on Friday afternoon.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (chest) did not practice on Wednesday. He played just 49% of Seattle's offensive snaps this past week, but it didn't seem like an injury had anything to do with that. We'll see if Walker is able to get back on the practice field tomorrow.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III managed just 16 yards on 9 carries in Sunday's lopsided loss to the Ravens. The 1.8 yards per carry marked the second-lowest average of Walker's career, while it was the second straight game in which he has logged single-digit carries. Also for the second straight game, RB Zach Charbonnet played more snaps. It's tough to know how much we can draw from a game Seattle lost 37-3. But we certainly can't ignore the past two weeks of usage. Walker becomes a shakier fantasy play in the short term, and the remaining schedule could exacerbate that issue. It's the league's worst RB schedule from Week 10 on, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. Charbonnet is still worth stashing, though, given his more favorable passing-game role. And a Walker injury would give Charbonnet control of backfield work.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III received 8 carries for 66 rushing yards in Week 8’s win vs. the Browns. His teammate Zach Charbonnet siphoned off a decent amount of work and performed well in the contest, totaling 53 rushing yards on 5 carries with 2 catches for 11 yards as a receiver. Unfortunately for both plays, WR Jake Bobo sniped a rushing TD on a 3-yard run on Sunday. Next week, Walker III will have an opportunity to bounce back against the Ravens.

Seahawks RB Ken Walker (calf) is not listed on the final Week 8 injury report. He was a full-go in Friday’s practice after sitting out the previous two days. It looks like Seattle was just giving Walker some mid-week rest after his 28-touch outing vs. the Cardinals. Walker will be ready to go for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. RB Zach Charbonnet (hamstring) will also return for that one after putting in a full week of practice. The rookie figures to mix in for a handful of touches behind Walker.
