Packers WR Randall Cobb is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. We're expecting Cobb to play but will look for an update on his status Sunday morning. Packers-Rams doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET. Cobb will be a risk/reward fantasy play if active. If not, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling will handle slot duties.
Packers WRs Geronimo Allison (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (hamstring) were limited in Wednesday's practice. Both guys should be ready to return for this weekend's game against the Rams. It's unclear how snaps will be doled out, though, after Marquez Valdes-Scantling played well over the past couple of games.
Packers WRs Geronimo Allison (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (hamstring) are officially inactive for tonight’s game against the 49ers. Rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantlng and Equanimeous St. Brown will serve as Green Bay’s #2 and #3 WRs, respectively.
ESPN's Lisa Salters reports that Packers WRs Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb are "likely to be inactive" for tonight's game against the 49ers with their hamstring injuries. We'll find out for sure around 7 pm ET. Their absences would again leave Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown as Green Bay's #2 and #3 WRs. MVS is a viable WR3 and ESB a WR4 flier.
Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) is qusetionable for Monday night's game against the 49ers. He put in limited practices all week but has been dealing with this injury off and on for a while. We wouldn't recommend waiting on him for your fantasy lineup.
Packers WRs Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb will both miss practice on Thursday and work with the rehab group, HC Mike McCarthy said. Allison has cleared the concussion protocol but is sidelined with a hamstring injury. Cobb also remains out with a hamstring problem. We'll see if they can practice tomorrow. Both guys have an extra day to get ready with Green Bay hosting the 49ers on Monday night.
Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game against the Lions. He didn't practice all week and doesn't appear close to returning.
Packers WRs Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (concussion) missed Wednesday's practice. Both guys look no better than 50/50 to play against the Lions this weekend. If both are out, rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling would step in as Green Bay's #2 WR -- and an intriguing fantasy flier.
Packers WR Randall Cobb said Monday that the hamstring injury that kept him out of Week 4 is "feeling better." He added, "I made strides the past couple days and hopefully I can continue to make those strides." But Cobb also admitted that he wasn't close to playing against the Bills. We'll track his practice participation this week, but fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on Cobb playing against the Lions on Sunday.
Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game against the Bills. That leaves Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison as Green Bay’s top 2 WRs — and nice fantasy plays. Rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling figures to serve as the #3.
Packers WR Randall Cobb missed practice again Saturday with the hamstring injury that popped up Thursday. Cobb also missed Friday’s workout and drew a “questionable” tag on the final injury report. Cobb looks like he’s trending toward not playing, which would add volume upside to WR Geronimo Allison. We’ll update Cobb’s status Sunday morning. He’ll carry elevated risk even if active, though. Look elsewhere if you can
Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Bills after being added to the injury report on Thursday. Green Bay didn’t practice on Friday, but the team estimated that Cobb would not have participated if they did. He appears to be on the wrong side of questionable. We’ll find out Cobb’s official status by noon ET on Sunday.
Packers WR Randall Cobb was added to Thursday's injury report as limited with a hamstring. ESPN's Rob Demovsky talked to Cobb after practice and thought he "seemed fine." Check back tomorrow for another update.
Packers WR Randall Cobb revealed on Friday that he had surgery about 6 weeks ago to remove a small piece of cartilage from his ankle. That explains why he was spotted in a walking boot in late June. Cobb avoided the PUP list to open camp, though, and told reporters that he "feels great" after experiencing pain in that ankle this spring. "I feel much better than I did before," he said. "I feel like I can move a lot better. I'm not having that throbbing pain that I had, so definitely looking forward to this year." We'll keep an eye on him, but it doesn't sound like the ankle will be an issue. Cobb remains a nice value at his 8th-round ADP.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky considers Geronimo Allison the "best bet" to win the Packers' #3 WR job. Green Bay added 3 WRs in this year's draft -- J'Mon Moore, Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling -- but Allison holds edges in NFL experience and chemistry with QB Aaron Rodgers. The 24-year-old has flashed in spots over the past 2 seasons, including lines of 4-91-1 and 6-122. Green Bay's #3 WR has finished among the top 50 in PPR points in just 3 of 10 seasons since Rodgers took over, so Allison is unlikely to be a standalone value. But an injury to Davante Adams or Randall Cobb would certainly change that.
